I think it's just going to make developers more effective/efficient, which might reduce the need for as many developers, but that depends on if the enterprise companies even allow developers to use this (ex Where I currently work doesn't).

How do you change the GitHub CoPilot window from side to side, and instead use top and bottom?

The Completions Panel? You should be able to just drag and drop that like you would any other file, or right click the tile and click "split up" or "split down"
