- So guys this video is all about my experience at CST Cadet Summer Training this summer. I didn't go into a whole lot of detail because of course the video would be too long but you will get a good idea of what it is like. Here's some advice for Basic Camp
If you're in Alpha Company: Good Luck...Drill Sergeants will play a lot of mind games with you so be ready
If you're in Bravo Company: Welp, aren't you just lucky .-.

I went to CST last summer in 3rd regiment too. I was in bravo company though. Alpha company definitely had it rough.

Damn I'm kinda nervous asf. I'm leaving tomorrow and I'll be at my school for 5 days. Then we out to Louisville, Kentucky. I'm not in bad shape, but I'm just nervous that I won't perform up to their standards. Ugh!! Sooo nervous!! Also will I get to keep my smart watch? I could care less about not having my phone. I don't have a regular watch. I just don't want to get hammered for not being prepared.
I’m in the same boat. I leave tomorrow for Ft. Knox Kentucky as well. My school didn’t have all the gear and I’ve ended up buying as much as I could but I still don’t have everything. I wish you luck!

Do you go to advance camp the summer between your junior and senior year? And between your sophomore and junior year for basic camp?
yep
Im AFROTC and all cadets do 1 summer training after sophomore year called LEAD. How does the Army ROTC work. Do you have to do a camp every year?
Basically, you have to have the equivalent of 3 years in AROTC. If you miss your Freshman and Sophomore years or part of the Sophomore year, then you go to Basic Camp after your Sophomore year to make up the missed year. Then, you have Junior and Senior year AROTC and Advanced Camp in between.

Adriana Garcia You have to pass everything just as advanced camp only difference is you’re not being graded on it where as at advanced camp you are graded. I’ll do a video on each event that is required soon.

so is CST mandatory for all cadets prior enlisted or not?
Only Advanced Camp, for accessions purposes
from what i've heard CST is now mandatory for MS1, MS2's and any non contracted cadet that's looking to contract.
It is still CIET, CST is an umbrella term for all of summer cadet training including: CLC, CTLT, CPFT, CIET, CULP, and so on. Also CIET, is still voluntary, however some universities may voluntell their cadets to go. It is not voluntary for lateral entry cadets or cadets of skip MS1 and MS2 year to become a MS3 unless they're prior service.

Unique Lewis 2 minutes of push-ups, 2 minutes of sit-ups, 2 mile run. Your score will be based on you age and gender.

Ik military has to get a bunch of vaccinations and bloodwork done, do Army ROTC people have to do that? btw im terrified of needles, thats really my only fear in the world lol
