Dude, looking at the games you decided to cull, the games on your shelf, and the thought that you had 400+ games, I just wonder..."why?" You cant play 400 games even if you played one a day religiously. That means you can't really get to know a game and get good at it and truly explore it. Do you just buy every game that comes out? Less is more man. Pick your 50-70 or so TOP games and cull the rest and call it a day. Use that money for something better than cardboard and wooden meeples. I say that because i had a collection that was growing to 150 games. Then I looked at them all one day and was like..."This is crazy all these games. I cant even play them all." So i got rid of most and now have the most curated collection of 50 games. Each game is game that i truely love. AND I get to actually play them all and they fit in a small place. With those 50 games, i host several game nights and get-togethers. All that money spent on games you wont play except maybe once or twice, you could be taking awesome trips to Europe or Asia or investing, etc. Just my 2cents

I would like to, just not sure how realistic it is to happen though sadly.

Culling is very difficult for me, so good job! Particularly when getting rid of games you like but either don’t take off the shelf or a friend also has it.
Watching this longer video from you gave me time to really look at your shelves. I’m curious exactly how you organize them. I see some things, such as Days of Wonder, West Kingdom, etc., but a video on how you decide what game goes where might be interesting, or even what games you currently own if you just find a place where they fit : )

Honestly those games are constantly rotating because they are always being taken off the shelves. I've reorganized them soo many times but after a couple weeks they are jumbled up again.

Village Green was the one that I was sad to see in your discard pile. I think it’s a surprisingly clever game with a likeable theme - but I also get that to a lot of people it’ll be just another card game.

I think its a nice game, but after a few play I was kind of getting over it.

Deep Water Games & mass market games were really on the chopping block.

Wow! I totally understand why culls are necessary (due to space) but when I look at my collection and I think of the investment, it hurts a bit. However, I understand if the game was not good or not being played, what’s the point in keeping them? What really scares me is that every empty space I see in my collection makes me want to fill it with a new game! Lol. Imagine if I cull. I need to learn a bit of self control. I merged a few expansions together last week and realized I had a decent empty space and you know what I did? I bought Middara. Middara!!!!

I want Midara soo bad. Let me know how you like it!

Great video, you inspired me!! I like to keep my collection a unreasonable reasonable size less than 300 if possible. This is what was voted off the island after your motivational video, 2 munchkins, Photosynthesis, unmatched red riding hood, HUE, Air land and sea and 15 others. All in the donation pile by the back door. I hope I make someone's day when they find them at the thrift store. Then I ordered Lost Ruins of Arnak and Terraforming Mars online ;) 3 steps forward 2 steps back.

Haha I totally understand. I'm always like o I did soo good getting rid of all these games and then within a few weeks they are all replaced anyways.

Good job. Since you mentioned you really like dice placement, I am wondering if you’ve played and liked “Pulsar 2849”? I did not see it mentioned in your Top 50. It is rated well on BGG, around #216 overall.

Village Green and Dice Throne were the only questionable decisions I feel you made. I’d had pitched Roll Player and Mission Red Planet over those Two. ;) ahh well to each their own. Fun video

We enjoy Realm of Sand and Shifting Stones. I suppose that’s the downsize of a big collection. You have to be a bit more picky.

I thought both were descent. I'll definitely find someone that will like them more tho.

Great video, I agree on all choices but Village Green, but as you said - it is a good game. With about 3000+ games coming every year we need to distinguish between good and great games I guess.

After I made this video I actually sat down and played it a few more times 🤣

Great list! Sad to see Infinity Gauntlet: Love Letter go since it’s one of my fave games. I actually like it better than OG Love Letter. Didn’t like the latter’s player elimination and draggy tendencies.

I have heard allt of people give it some high praise but it really didn't work for my group. One of those games I'm happy to let go to someone who will really enjoy it.

@@TheBoardMeeting it took me a long time before i actually sat down and really watch a playthrough in focus. In the beginning the movement of the house seemed pretty silly as it didn’t make sense to have a house move lol. But it didn’t bother me in the end. I should’ve bought it when it was on sale.
