    Nice tour!
I'm a bit shocked they have a Spitfire parked outdoors!

      I think it’s because it’s a fibreglass “gate guard.”
If it was real then it would be parked indoors next to the BF-109G.
They have (or used to have) a fantastic de Havilland Mosquito. Maybe they got it airworthy, and it’s kept somewhere else in the country.
There’s a few more exhibits outside that weren’t there last time I visited.
Most of our aviation museums are short of hanger space.

    Greetings from Elvington in Kent
.We visited Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington ten years ago and it was worth the visit then!
It has come along way since then and it now boasts a lot more exhibits. My lasting memory was the NAAFI canteen and the Halifax bomber which I am glad to say is still there. Well done and keep up the great work!

The reason there's a Halifax Bomber AND some very rare (and incredibly HUGE in one case) French Jets is because one of the WW2 Free French Airforce Units was based at Elvington
I'm not aware of any other UK Air Museum having the Frog stuff Elvington has (along with other interesting planes)
Only been once but reckon I'll go again if I'm in the area.

@@Markiemez Sorry to get back to you so late but, yeah, usually music is so subjective you may push viewers way...if anything, play period music....popular music from the 30s and 40s. I would've been impressed. Well good luck and I hope you succeed.

Stop moaning about the music. YAM is a great day out. The control tower, the NAAFI, the 609 Tally Ho! squadron hut, the rear gunner hut. Friday the 13th. Just go and visit and enjoy. I do every time I visit York.

Shame about the music and not focusing on the information for each aircraft. The prototype Tornado looks rather tatty.

Sorry, the music is quiet inappropriate,so watched it with volume off?

I can never understand why these videos are degraded by inappropriate music-type noise. A commentary with just a few relevant comments would transform a boring series of disjointed shots into something memorable. No mention of the Cayley glider, which flew a man across Brompton Dale Yorkshire, almost fifty years before the Wright Brothers got airborne

It's not doing any of these exhibits any good sitting out in the Yorkshire weather, rain, sleet and snow!
Perhaps a wealthy billionaire should step up with funds to create an undercover museum?
