Make a zip line to your old base, take one out as far as possible and build a tower/treehouse to connect and repeat until you get to the other camp (or whatever location you want to go to)
on corners use full log then 3/4 1/2 1/2 1/4 see if that helps you great video !!

I think you annuse some of those smaller logs for the walls where a large log sticks out the end.
Ohh you could put the small shelves at the top of those small two log walls you made.. might look good

handy tip as your place is so big, you could build the bone chandeliers near your bone store, then move the chandelier to where you want it in your house, will be quicker ;) love the build though

In survival, make a pile of wood you think will last the night, and triple-it: outdoors, make two or three-fires instead of wasting sleep, constantly rotating a hypothermic-side to the fire, half-freezing all-night: just make two-fires in a two-person scenario, instead of spooning, scissor opposite each-other, feet near each-others' core, four-knees-together no extremitys left out; especially survivable sharing a single-covering double-fires, and two-woodpiles against cold-darkness.
I believe to fill in the triangle areas; it is full log, then 3/4 log stacked on top and finally a 1/2 log on top to finish the triangle.
Also if you need ammo to go back to caves and bunkers cause loot does respond. And the best thing is every time you load into the game it refresh the world so all of the loot crates are also refresh. So you can stack up on weapons aka pistol, Shotgun, ammo ect. Just make sure you remember where they responsible location are at. Hope it helps

you could build a makeshift fire log holder out of quarter or half size logs and just throw them inside it; not sure if they would despawn though.
I was always suprised that the developers never let you build in clay, cobb, or brick.
Take two more cut outs from the fireplace. You could have used the half logs to make fencing or guard rails

for those triangle sides just use a half piece on the whole log with a quarter piece on top of the half log should close that space in

GE time to create zip line highway. Using treehouses. Your love it.
I believe you can trim the logs from the outside for those corner pieces to make them fit.
GE not 100% sure if you knew all ready but with the food if it goes bad just recook it on the fire and your able to eat it again hope it helps.

24:45 aren't those logs 1/2 size? I mean you can use it to prop up sections of the build if they are 1/2 and not 1/4s
Kelvin needs a carry follow command, so he can grab 2 logs and follow you to a build site, maybe an inventory of his own

If you carry on building up the fireplace you could use the stick and cloth light inside before you enclose and will glow thu the wood

log fit at an angle at the start of the 'dock fort' for a smoother transition?
lol just a little bit until the update, but I def am hoping for more world interactions with items already in play, such as the outboard motors, or the lights, or the shovel and digging to alter the landscape. possibilities are obviously endless. but nonetheless I'm eager for whatever's in the future.
you can push the logs around in the water you hit e to aim it the way you want as you keep pushing it

but still, it's fun and maybe we can use it as a trap or something.

Wow super comfi base u set up there. Can u make a draw bridge. That would make it even more saver
GE, would it have been possible to do your central fire pit with just 4 vertical columns instead of the 4 columns you have with short bits pointing out horizontally on each side of them? Seems like it'd be a cleaner look, and afford more lighting from the fire. Not sure if that was a structuring, though. Just a thought.

Make a fishing platform or outdoor lounge on both sides of your base
Can you put a wall shelf above your fireplace like a mantle? That way you can display your skulls.
Is it possible to use the half and quarter logs to fill in those triangle air spaces on the wall so that they don’t show through the roof?
You could have Kelvin finish building prefab items for you.
You can move the chandeliers around after you build it
in sloping places you can use smaller logs

Sorry if in bugging you edged. I only want to help and hopefully some of my tips would be able to help makes thing slightly easier for you. But I really do like your water base. It looks amazing so far can't wait to see it when's its done. I've been following all of your video on the son of the forest since day one.

Heh, I was right. I figured out what you were doing as soon as you started building the 'walls' on the inside.
Especially when you said you'd prefer it to be made of stone.
Can you stack a half log on a whole log? Then a quarter log on that to fill the angle gaps?
Love the building, but if you could intersperse building and adventuring it would be appreciated. There's lots of things you missed.
is it possible, for filling in the slanted walls, to drop a full log, then a 3/4 log, then a 1/2 log, then a 1/4 log so that it doesnt stick out into the roof line?

did you know that its possible to regrow trees? i found a tutorial here at youtube. its called: "How to regrow trees"
Early Access has ruined gaming imo. For instance this game gets released clearly early, boring, missing huge content, full of glitches, with the only additions being 2 barely functional NPCs and a glitchy unfinished building mechanic.
Looking past that, the issue is longevity. By the time a game is full release 90% of people have no motivation to play new content. Valheim for instance. Me and a group of buddies out in about 100 hours in the first 2 months (we have jobs so this is considered an addiction). We then grew bored and moved on. Now theirs TONS more content and none of us give a damn about it.
Early Access killed gaming.
Can you not cut the logs down that stick out from the angled roof?
