Happy the you had a PFD! I was wondering about what would happen if...Cool to see some antics in Canada and you're a hero in that respect ( we all need an american attitude sometimes or they'll take full control of us! ) but buzzing kayakers haha that was a bit over the top. I wouldn't have :P
Well said Willis Higley. I know my rules and regulations. The only property I went by more then once was my families place, they were enjoying the flying on the end of the dock. The boat that I flew by a couple times, she came to help me out when I went into the water, she loved it and was pleased to have close proximity views. Anyone I fly around I make sure there enjoying it and smiling or I move on. The construction guys were 100% enjoying it. All the people I’ve talked to since I’ve landed thought it was great. If I flew like this every flight, I could see your point, but I do not. I’ve never been reported, or had a person upset about the noise or what I’m doing. Thanks for your concern though :)
These aren’t mandatory flight rules but in an effort to avoid tighter regulations you should be wary of people/animals on the ground. You should avoid causing a noise nuisance or annoyance at all costs. Repeatedly flying over property or taking the same flight path, buzzing the same person could be really annoying. Looks really fun though, I liked the construction site
It was longer then expected. The gas tank helped a bit. It's fitted to the bottom of the frame, which makes it want to flip you upside down in the water, kicking helped to.
I think spend too much time buzzing around in a area that is supposed to be relaxing for the people on the lake is probably a bad idea . Sure glad your floating device deployed and worked . Which one was it ???
I get it. We have all done it. Flying around people is a rush and a lot of fun. But there are a LOT of Karens out there and this type of behavior will get you into trouble. Just my 2c. I've been guilty of it too. Which is how I know it's not good. It's a good way to lose your LZ for good. Not just for you but for everybody. 🙂Sry.
Glad your ok, but really why fly so close to the people and boats, really going to annoy people and give the sport a bad name. In the UK we can't fly within 500ft..
The U.S. there are no restrictions on min altitude for ultralights under Far 103. Paramotors can fly 2 inches above the ground if in the correct airspace.
@@matthewholmes8638 appreciate rules are different we can fly low just 500ft clear of buildings structures people etc.. While you can do that I would still count flying over people at very low altitude with a noisy paramotor with no easy out and possibly posting the people off really isn't good for the sport..
Exactly why UK has restrictions and now soon the US will make more difficult, just like the tucker guy tossing things from his paramotor and getting reported to the FAA. Probably enough reports they will want to regulate some how.
@@jamesparkin2187 The most annoying thing I find with this sport is people constantly telling others how to do it and telling them how they are ruining the sport.
Well fly sensibly and they won’t have to will they? FFS there’s enough land to fly over without being a dick. In the UK drones went from unregulated to heavily regulated because of people being dicks in the same way. FFS grow up.

Always scary how quickly the lines entangle! Glad you made it out ok.
Yes, I should've un clipping right away. Thanks man
Perfect comment on dropping it all in the drink..."oh sh!t"
Haha thanks

Glad you’re ok. Looks like you had a blast before the splash! Smart to have your floatation too. I also yank and bank a Colorado.
Thanks man, nice! Stay safe out there :)
Glad ur ok. I’m currently shopping around for flotation, which do you have?
The Stearns automatic PFD
30 seconds was a long time to wait there! Maybe the air in your gas tank saved your life more than the PFD

Hey you got a new sub here. Glad you're okay, what was the reason for the engine out?
Idle was to low, left it on idle for to long while doing those last turns
What was the cause of the motor out
Idle was to low, noticed it before launching but didn't think it would effect me, especially at that altitude. Lesson learned.
Did the PFD take longer to inflate than you expected? I always thought the inflated immediately upon contact with water.
