ok working with it now, yes windsurf is better than cline and cursor, these i used both to cover shortcomings but windsurf has it all in one at least and better, it is easy to switch when all is vscode based, which is again electron, it should be possible to let it self improve the core, need open source for that, i am thinking of having an ai managed git project, in mcp servers are all the tools, working on it, about windsurf, it seems to be able to control everything and apply changes better, it is more at peace, cline is over active and cursor to tedious with copy paste too much, cline is a disaster with reading terminal io, often it does not see io and rambles on and removes stuff, ok windsurf it is that is going to make my custom cli ai coder
From my experiments- it has been pretty impressive. It seems to be able to handle a small codebase. Notice that I said a small codebase since I dont know of any AI coding assistant that can handle large codebases. Yet.
yeah same here, these tools at some point all suck but they work just good enough to make a better solution for yourself, the more advanced the llm is the less advanced the ui becomes, i am getting nervous of the gui apps, after 30 years i am back at the command line again and stay there, a mouse is basically a one finger keyboard, going from mouse to keyboard is already 10x for everyone at least ;)

It's a native feature in Windows that allows speech to text.

I'd suggest building AI agents instead ;)
It's quite soon to fire your engineers 😂. 100% costs for maintenance. And AI is really dumb at legacy code.
