This run was made using overlays. I promised I would get a sub 10 so here it is. Goal is sub 7. I have been running heroics for 4 days now and finally got a sub 8. The run is pretty bad, for starters, I didn't proc heroics at the beginning of phase 1, on phase 3, the head break was supposed to come after the first binder but I was missing some damage, so I had to use the second binder and kill him with the head break. And lastly after the second binder I kept missing the head break with rocks. A lot of improvements can be made, but its fun. If I can find a way to tenderize the head before phase 1 ends I can fully script the head break, that or the palicope gives me an affinity song, but its the palicope, thats never gonna happen :'(
Thanks to Yinyin and HCZS for the strat, watching Yin destroy Fatty with heroics got me pumped so I wanted to give it a try. Here is his far better and more polished run:

Been using an SAED build because I'm so stubborn and just used to the playstyle since 4u. This and with your last video really does cement that savage is by far the better option lol guess im doing that today
For small monster saed better dmg still
Savage axe is very good at applying status effects while SAED is wonderful for defense offence with quick bursts of damage

MH4U style for impact phials is kinda similar to savage axe. You just looped rising charge and elemental discharge 2 until your last phial which you AED'd with.

@@playstationprodigies7055 I beat him first time solo no palico a couple days ago. God I must’ve spent like 30 hours learning his move set. I used SnS I usually play either CB or LS but man with SnS it felt way easier.

I dont have enough faith in my luck/skill for heroics lol anything else you would recommend to suffice for it? Been trying to solo the beast for a week now and the time kills me in p3 everytime
Evade extender, evade window and health boost are your best friends. After that get 100% crit and crit boost 3 and power prolonger. After that just go to town with savage axe and try to break the head at least once, good luck
i think you can lower your time by atleast 30 seconds, the cone baiting made you lose some time, and the attempt at horn breaking with dung pods too, nice run nonetheless!!!

How did you realize his head would break? Do you count the amount of swings you need to get in on his head for it to break?
If not for that, I've never really seen anyone purposefully aim at the head with their Claw Ammo...
When he is bound or toppled his head health can go down to 0 but not break, thats why it was a guaranteed break with even 1 single rock at the head. Sadly my aim sucks so i had to do it with an axe swing instead

Is this playstyle viable in multi? Seems like it will throws teammates here and there, i dont want to be an asshole since i had bad time playing with cb players back then become they wont stop launching people even when i already called them out.

Depends on whether there are more hitzones horizontally or vertically. Normally, its better to Fatalis with the up and downward slashes especially when he stands as he has more vertically viable hitzones. But when knocked down, he has more horizontally accessible hitzones.

Puedes matarlo sin armadura si quieres. Cualquier armadura funciona pero recomiendo health boos 3, evade Windows 3, y divine blessing 3 para mantenerte vivo. Evade extender 2 también ayuda con charge blade. Lo demás ponle todo a habilidades de daño crítico
@@Painted_J no había probado vs esos dragones pues se me acabó el plus, y dejé varios años sin jugar. Y todo lo que sabía se me olvidó. Juego con hacha cargada, pero no domino el nuevo movimiento de hacha salvaje. La mera verdad si estoy batallando mucho pues el primer combate el del vídeo. Gracias ojalá y aprenda de tu vídeo es que nunca me enseñe a usar el menú radial y no se crear las pociones máximas siempre jugué así. Podrías pasar tu set para cuando lo mate si es que puedo.

@@Painted_J I actually did try it after seeing your video. Best I did was reach the phase 3 and it did the first nova at 5 minutes in but I died. Quite a challenge for me to even clear a run, much respect.
@@kayeser2729 surprisingly phase 3 is the easiest part of the run. Using the 2 binders as well as smoke bombs and the headbreak you get a total of 5 CCs overall just in area 3.
I reckon hammer could do cone baiting on phase 1, then use the ballista into topple into first headbreak for phase 2. Then use all the cc for phase 3 and kill using the last headbreak to skip nova
