:) i will try along! Let’s see what happens, I will add some radishes, spring onions, garlic greens and root veggies, and some wintersalads! Looking forward to stretch the season/get an early start!

Yes!! I’m so excited to have people joining this test. I really think it will work and we’ll be getting sprouts on the early end of the season! Let me know how yours does!!

This is a great idea..even if everything fails, you’ve learned something. And if some of it works you’ll have crops to grow every year going forward. I think I’ll try some things as well..maybe some lettuces, collards and radishes. I’ve been impressed with giant red mustard this year-it has survived several freezes already, and it’s still thriving.

I too have the giant red mustard and completely agree. I’m really not sure how it got in my garden as I’ve never bought seeds for it.. but it has since multiplied and seeded everywhere. I just let it go and it is so cold hardy!
This will be a fun experiment!

Good luck with this trial. Am curious how it will work out. I'm jealous of your green house.

I feel confident it will be successful as it’s very much winter sowing.. so as long as no critters eat the seeds! Thanks for the compliment on the greenhouse. It has been very helpful. It was a custom build my husband and I did a few years back.

I’m really interested to hear how it turns out next spring since you’re very north! I think it will be incredibly helpful and encouraging for others to know how this works for you!

You are the second channel this fall I've seen doing this. Ashley at Gardening in Canada is also trying it. I can't wait to see how you both do with it!
I'm still picking lots of kale, perpetual spinach, and swiss chard here in Southern Ontario 🇨🇦

Oh that is exciting to hear that someone else in the north is trying this! I’ll need to check out her video. Really glad your garden is still producing so well 💚

I would love to try this along with you, but it just won't work for me right now. Been gone for a year so the entire yard and garden are 6ft+ and woody, so goats are currently working on eating everything. My chickens usually find a way into the garden and kill everything anyways, but oh well!

I totally understand. I usually don’t have beds prepared this time of year but circumstances led me to getting it done and wound up with extra space to plant. I will report back on how it does!
