Should footballers make their programs with taking specific muscles groups in account, what i basically mean is that for eg. Glutes has 3 different muscles and just a simple squat might overlook one of them. so should I add a couple of different movements for glutes so i hit all of them?
Fantastic question Madhu. 👇🏻👇🏻 Short answer is no. What you should emphasize instead is the movements such as front chain 2 leg and single leg exercises (squats, lunges, skater squats etc) and back chain (RDLs, Nordics, slider curls. However, there will be a time to isolate if the individual has weak or under developed areas such as miniband walks, calf raises, ankle rockers, single leg planks. I just named some of the common exercises footballers should be doing.
Hey, I’m injured at the moment so got a lot of free time. I been gng gym 4 times a a week doing an upper lower split. For my lower workout, I do Bulgarian split squats, single leg rdls, then hamstring curls and leg extensions. What should I add for plyomwtrics/jump type movements and specific power training. Really appreciate ur content, the best football specific workout advice I’ve seen online by far.
You can add it on any day really. Slowly introduce it and train Like an athlete. For more info on how to program, check out my how to create a program video or programs on my website.
Can someone please tell me the Correct % of 1RM for specific rep ranges......like 2 reps would need 90%...3 reps - 80-85 (i assume)...and so on till 10 reps 🙏
@@ArmasStrength yeah coach I did, but most of them were from bodybuilding websites, that's why i thought maybe that is not for athletes. Is it so? Or is this same for both bodybuilders and athletes.
Could you please help me out with footballer specific gym routine? I think that me working out as bodybuilder has made me slow on the field. I need your help. Please
I m under weight my age 21 anf weight 50 , height 5'3 am so lean what excercise routine to gain muscle and big body as well as pro footballer athleticism

Hello, is your hypertrophy and strength program made for the lower body only or the body overall+ Should i gain weight before starting the program?(I stopped training to focus on my studies and I want to start the program after I finish in about 3 months).

Hey coach A, unfortunately, I have recently suffered an ACL tear and will be out for pretty much the rest of the year. I'm a skinny guy 6'1 @ 145 and want to focus fully on gaining at least 20 pounds in that time. I wanted to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you
hey man I'm 4 months out from my ACL surgery and just wanted to say keep it up! It's not about the glamour but the drive and the journey. All is in gods hands 🤝
1) look at high level players at your position and see how much they weigh 2) Gaining weight could potentially be good since youre underweight. Getting it slow will still be in any athletes best interest no matter your situation to minimize fat gain. Train like an athlete take your physical therapy serious and don’t rush to come back. Best luck on your recovery
Amazing Video Coach Armas ! And I can say from experience since I love both bodybuildng and soccer that the two together are different and you can use bits and pieces from bodybuilding principles to help with strength and conditioning for soccer, but for me its been challenging trying to figure that out and putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Also Coach A, I can't seem to find any information about how soccer players move on the pitch, body mechanics etc and then try and develop agility training like Acceleration/Deceleration/Cutting/Turning/Transitioning between these movementst the most efficient way for a soccer player. I find mainly track and field and American Football type movement patterns. And when I watch soccer players they move different from these other sports. Is there any information on movement running patterns for soccer players ? Thank you !!!
Hey boss track and football have many things that transition well into footballers. Not everything but a lot. I think the piece that’s missing is the connection and the explanation on how they transfer. Here is a playlist of me training some footballers maybe you can take inspiration from them to help you in your athletic development journey. Speed and Agility Athlete Training 🔥 ruclips.net/p/PLzPF6QwLoe-fzx4HAZZxOYCPLGVpG3cMp There’s still so much that I haven’t covered in so many movements that we can do but starting here will be good.
@@ArmasStrength That's good to know, I will use some of the track and field drills for my soccer athletes. And thanks for the links to your videos champ! I have seen most of them but I will look at them again.
