When my Hawaiian girlfriend asked me to go with her to a Maoli show in Akron, Ohio back in March I reluctantly said yes thinking I wouldn’t like it and boy was I wrong. I am a music man and I recognize good music when I hear it. The first thing that got me going was the bass player he was very good and so was the lead guitarist Glens vocals was crystal clear and sharp. I thank my girlfriend everyday for helping me to expand my horizons and now I’m an official Maoli fan. I only have one request from them and that’s for them to perform Superman by Taurus Riley the Maoli way I bet they would kill it.
First time I saw Maoli was in Tacoma, WA. I’m a barber and videographer here and I offered Maoli raw footage for a music video they were putting together of the tour they were on in exchange for me to cut Glen’s hair for the show backstage for my portfolio and to make content. Definitely the best experience I’ve had as I was able to cut someone’s hair before a show. And I met some of the openers like Cas Hailey and do work for him also that night. Thank you guys!
It is no coincidence that I was listening to Maoli today then, came across this podcast. Loved it 🤍. Thanks for the insight about "The Business of Music" and the hustle to be about it. I appreciate it. Good job guys! Ofa atu.
I must admit, prior to Fiji's Homecoming..... I only knew about 2 Maoli songs. Started listening to your albums a week before HC. But dam! Watching you live truly was an experience! I'm definitely a fan now 💜
Love it! "I know who I am. I know what I wanna be. And there's nothing that you're gonna do to take that away from me. It's just a matter of Gods timing."
Island reggae was never really accepted by the Reggae community and felt they never really got publicized back by that community. It was loved locally but not accepted broadly . Since country has been added into the picture it’s taken off and added to its acceptance broadly and . internationally They deserve it from all the hard work. Good luck and well deserved. 🤙🏽🤠
I went to see Maoli three times and my wife and daughter saw him four times here in the Bay Area. Bradah and the boys brought the house down, I love the guitar challenges. I’m a little bit country, I’m a little bit reggae, Hawaiian kine brah🤙🏾Mahalo

The way Khana nudged Glen for his cup and poured more drank, that was very Pacific Islander of him😂😂😂
