It made me tear up a bit. I'm not afraid to admit it. That year that Faker lost and cried in his chair at worlds was the year I got into League. I came from SC2 and there were a few player like him in SC2 that had extremely emotional reactions to losses in finals like Faker did. I always gravitated to those players because you could tell it wasn't just a loss and the game isn't just a game to them. They truly are that passionate about what they do and it hurts them greatly when they fall short.
I am actually really conflicted for this year’s final. On one hand I want Korea to take back their glory, on the other I really want Swordart to finally be a world champion, and Suning really had an incredible run. No matter what happens, I hope we get van exciting bo5!

Sword says no one remembers the runner ups. But let us never forget the Rox Tigers vs SKT series that at the time truly showed the protentional league had to offer. By far will always be one of my favorite series and anyone who's seen it I don't think has much better then that. Not only did it innovate roles and champions but truly showcased the power of LCK at the time.

They've had a rough year and were more like a small challenger than favorites. They performed exactly the way I was expecting them to, and anyone who's watched a bit of LEC this year will know what I'm talking about.

What makes this interesting aside that it is the 10th is the fact that whoever wins deserve the title. One is fighting to continue their region's reign, and the other one is to regain theirs. I also love how respectful Showmaker is in this one, it's like he's not the one who played against G2 last week (although I honestly enjoyed the subtle salt). I wish they give us a great series!
One is fighting to silence those who dount them. One is fighting to reclaim their lost glory. I don't care who wins this time but I believe this is the only Worlds where you can feel the burning passion and hunger on both teams.
The constant underdogs in Suning or the rising stars and last hope for LCK redemption in Damwon - I don't even care who wins because I'll be happy for them and sad for whoever loses. I don't think I've been more excited for a finals match in any game.
That made me actually cry a bit when showmaker mentioned Faker crying in his chair after losing 0-3 to SSG. I know for a fact that showmaker isn't alone in that feeling. That year is the year I got into League and in Faker's truly genuine moment of anguish I could feel his pain. It wasn't the normal amount of sadness from a finals loss. It really hurt him. I still have hope for Faker to rise back up again.
If DWG wins, history will be made. The flag of the LCK will be finally put at the top of the world again after 3 years. Showmaker will become the second hand of Faker for rising the flag of the LCK again. If SN wins, history will be made. From No names in the international scene to defeating the top 3 favourites in the tournament to being Worlds Finalists. If they win, they will prove that Worlds is everyone's game. Either way, history will be made. Big changes will happen. And I cannot wait anymore.

@@firestorm159 Opening ceremony starts at the announced start time. Historically it has usually lasted about 15-20 minutes but last year they added a 3rd musical performance and who knows what they have planned this year. Matches start right after the opening ceremony.

Im sure you guys have heard this, but the ONLY time that a team from the LCK lost in the finals was the first time they were in worlds, season 2, against TPA. But at the same time, Suning has a badass lineup too, and I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see them win it all. Either way, this is gonna be an amazing world finals, they'll definitely all be fighting tooth and nail in this final bout.
Suning put a run throughout this tournament. They look unstoppable. But...Damwon is just god tier.. you can't even touch them. Gonna be a good series!

G2 was never a tournament favorite. They've had a rough year and were more like a small challenger than favorites.
They performed exactly the way I was expecting them to, and anyone who's watched a bit of LEC this year will know what I'm talking about.

What makes this interesting aside that it is the 10th is the fact that whoever wins deserve the title. One is fighting to continue their region's reign, and the other one is to regain theirs. I also love how respectful Showmaker is in this one, it's like he's not the one who played against G2 last week (although I honestly enjoyed the subtle salt). I wish they give us a great series!

That made me actually cry a bit when showmaker mentioned Faker crying in his chair after losing 0-3 to SSG. I know for a fact that showmaker isn't alone in that feeling. That year is the year I got into League and in Faker's truly genuine moment of anguish I could feel his pain. It wasn't the normal amount of sadness from a finals loss. It really hurt him. I still have hope for Faker to rise back up again.
If DWG wins, history will be made. The flag of the LCK will be finally put at the top of the world again after 3 years. Showmaker will become the second hand of Faker for rising the flag of the LCK again.
If SN wins, history will be made. From No names in the international scene to defeating the top 3 favourites in the tournament to being Worlds Finalists. If they win, they will prove that Worlds is everyone's game.
