    Thanks for taking the me to make this video. The tiger, nc750x and tracer 7 are the main contenders for my next bike, I know you don't get the tracer on your side of the pond.

    The panniers look great and are cleverly engineered. I think the top case looks good on the bike as well. Pricey, but worth it. It puts the 'touring' in Sport Touring.

    Thanks, brother! I have the 12 page instructions but followed your installation guide instead with no problems. I also have the graphite/black Tiger 660 and she does look great with the black bags. Btw, I had no problem fitting a large full face helmet into the pannier.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! I do think the helmet brand and accessories attached play a role when fitting into the pannier. It was close for me, but I didn't want to risk damage to the helmet by trying to squeeze it in there.

    Hi, a fix for the cold start problem is to give the throttle a 1/4 blip during starting. I saw another RUclips complain of this and suggested it, as my Cbf1000 sulks if I leave it for a couple of weeks and the blip is the fix. He replied the next day and said it works. Still seems a bit poor though.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 года назад

      I haven't really noticed a difference if I give it throttle or not. I almost always need to hit the start button twice. In the video, I purposely held the button for a long time on the first attempt for demonstration purposes but a short first attempt followed by a second button press works for me most of the time. I have also noticed that the quality of fuel makes a slight difference as well.

    Had the same panniers on a versys. They came with internal bags which reduced the capacity. Bought a 25litre dry bag that worked much better. Panniers were always waterproof.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 года назад

      The panniers been pretty good in keeping out water on their own. Good point on the reduced capacity with the bags.

    Thanks for testing XL helmets in this. I'm looking at this bike for my next ride, and was going back and forth between the panniers and the tail case. Hopefully the tailcase is more usable for helmets. Cheers!

      I picked up a Tiger 660 this weekend! The Top case does indeed fit a full XL helmet, but not the two advertised. It might with 2 small helmets, or maybe 3/4 helmets. Just thought I'd send this update in case you were still looking at the Top Case. Cheers!

    You can get all different sizes of dry bags at most outdoor stores, REI - for example. Might be a faster, cheaper, more compact option than the Triumph brand dry bags.

    Does the pannier not sit completely on the mount (at time 8:09 in the video). If there is a 2-3mm gap; how does the pannier get support from the mount?

  • @JoeyPaul1

    I just purchased a new Tiger 660 today! I have yet to bring it home as they are adding a few things to it. I have a quick question for you though. Did you get those extra lock when you purchased your bike? I have only received 2 keys, a binder with the manual. Also, are the pannier big enough for a laptop and a change of clothing? I am using this bike as a daily commuter to work and so on. Would you suggest these or something else?
    Thx
    Joey

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Год назад

      Mine came with a spare key and three extra barrel locks inside the binder. These are already matched to the ignition key. The panniers are big enough for a medium sized laptop. I have to remove my 15" Dell from the laptop bag in order to fit it in here. The optional top case would be more than big enough for a large laptop and bag though.
