This was long time in the making. Sammy was always the main reason why to watch a game through some bad Cub teams. A true superstar and seems like a great, humble man and is at peace in life. What a teriffic moment! Go Cubs and build the statue!

The Cubs organization benefitted more from Sosa's accomplishments than Sosa did. You saw how filled Wrigley Field and the surrounding rooftops were when he played. He broke no laws or written rules, and played the same way his peers did. I don't give a damn about what anyone says. This man deserves all the praise, especially after all of the disgusting tabloid racist crap that has been thrown his way for years. Also, him being thrown under the bus by the Cubs organization where they acted like they're absolved of all responsibility is ridiculous. I hope the Ricketts family does everything in their power to reverse this narrative, and it seems that way after his immediate induction into the Cubs Hall of Fame. This guy was one of my childhood heroes.

You can't "apologize" for something and then refuse to say "what" you're apologizing for. Total B.S. I stopped listening after he did that.

Between the steroids and the corked bat, Sammy is a cheating scumbag and should have never been allowed back, much less be put into the Cub's HOF. That is a total embarrassment.
