- I was actually meant to do my own version of Independence Day - End of all Hope, but for some reason I did this instead. This is my first video meant for RUclips. The others weren't. And it's also my first work with Windows Movie Maker, so be nice or I will eat your babies.

To clarify things. The main jets shown on the movie are not F-15s or F-14s. They are F/A-18 hornets and they are both ground attack and air-to-air jets. in some parts of the movie, we can see F-15s, F-16, F-14 and even AV-8 Harriers but they are in a more distant plane. The missile choices are very weird. they seem to fire air-to-air missiles (AMRAAMs and Sidewinders) towards the ship, which would only scratch it, instead of firing mavericks or anti-ship missiles, or dropping high power bombs
I watched this with my friend when we were 10, really brings out the nostalgia !!!!
This was really cool man, I like how you synced the lyrics, "Let's give this another try," with the final battle....

That's what I thought too, but after watching it the 3rd time round, there's a clip where a fighter is shot down and impacts on the shield, not the hull. I guess it's one of those 'Only recognised materials' shields they have in games a bunch, how only alien craft can pass through. I edited the crash clip out, I think.
Awesome video! Loved the music, especially when the Empire State Building Blew up. ( I like explosions) Just one thing to critisize on, it didn't say that Daniel was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! anywhere in it so i am dissapointed.... But nevertheless an excelent video.

After all that effort they find out they didn't even need to take down their shields these aliens seem kinda stupid with such a big weakness in their super weapon they should at least have their fighters already out and guarding only it as even with the shields down the ships hull took barely any damage from the fighter jet missiles but yes they must have a weak spot in the movie or we would all be dead lol great sync great movie awesome song ty.

why they only used f14 to attack a huge ship i will never know... i would have strike groups of f16's, f14's on air to air, and a10 warhawks on the assault of the ship itself... at the end of the movie... nice vid by the way. this is my favorite benjamin song, and it worked well with good synking and over all well fit song... 5 stars.

@NANOFORGE That comment reminded me of Master of Orion II lol. In fact there is a armor type called Neutronium. Many of these armor types can block lesser nukes

So what your saying is they'd usually have a shield even under the ship to protect the super weapon ? if so i guess that is possible but itd have to be deactivated at the moment the beam fires down i would assume or i guess that part of the shield would be disrupted from the weapon during which anything like a missiles goes up there itd be vaporised i hope they make another movie with city sized ships attacking its been too long 13 years and before this movie all we had was v the invasion show .

@mrTsalverda300 Indeed. I created this video once I saw a different one to the song 'The End of All Hope' by Nightwish to this movie, and the video mainly centered on the dogfights. In this, I wanted to convey the sense of destruction the aliens caused. You should look for the End of All Hope video to ID4, it's very good, but you won't find it on youtube anymore.

Dont think they were f14's, f14's are the tomkats and were a primary navel aircraft. The jets used in the first attack were, i believe, f15's. And i agree with you on the A-10's, they would have torn that bitch up lol.

yeah they are 15's. i noticed i was wrong after i wrote it... but an a10 and some f-22 or f -32 woudl have rapped those ships. they can carry like twenty times the missle payload of a 15. 4 rockets on the f-15 vs 20 long range rockets on the f-22, and almost 40 short range rockets on the a 10... my plan would work better. and why not just nuke it after the shields are down? That would have been quickest.

Because it was cheaper to make the graphics of just1 fighter and duplicate it into hundreds.

@i13m a -10 are not multirole fighters they are bombers/ tankbusters and they dont have the engines capable of high speed and high manoverbility at that altatude f-14 are not in this film only f 16 fighting fulcanand f-18 hornets

I didn't say wipe out any entire races and i only said if an alien race tried the same stunt against humanity as these aliens did.
They should prepare B2 or B52 or even tomahawk cruise missile to attack the navel instead of using Air-to Air Missile.
I think they ripped the audio and left the rest.
