"His Eye Is On The Sparrow" was one of my mom's favorite hymns (RIP, Mom). This is a very refreshing modernization of the hymn. Many modernizations don't work for me, and I come away thinking "why did you have to go and tinker with it, it was fine the way it was". But for this one I came away saying "thanks for tinkering".
We played this version at my Mom's funeral 11 years ago. It was perfect and beautiful. I believe I first heard about it during a rock and worship tour in Boise Idaho, something like that. I also have the same disease that my mom suffered from (multiple sclerosis) to. I'm doing a drastic treatment using my own healthy stem cells being extracted from me, wiping out my immune system with high chemo, then giving me back my good stem cells. It's called AHSCT (stem cells transplant).
A sweet friend reminded me of this song when she sent me a picture of a sparrow and reminded me that his eyes are on the Sparrow.

Love the song. Not real crazy about the video. Just Audrey walking around town. No message from the visuals, at least I didn't get one, unless it's about God watching Audrey walking around town ("He's watching me"). Again, it's a wonderful and refreshing variation on the old hymn, but the video doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
