The Film Photography Project has re-loaded a limited number of 126 film cartridges with fresh color film and has made them available via the on-line store. filmphotograph...
Unfortunately, 126 is not on any companies mind or radar for new film. Lets all be thankful that Lomography has brought back 110 film! There's always hope for the future. - Mike
Fakmatic works on a Rollei. Make one blank frame between images - put 135/35mm light-tight film canister over lens, press shutter and then make the « real » image advance to next an îmage. Make blank frame immediately after each « real one ».Load 50cm/20in of film. Some cameras need two blank frames.
The Kodak Instamatic 133 works well with reloaded cartridges. I have tried dozens of models. BTW, "the very first Kodak Instamatic" (as you said) was not the 100... The model 50 came before.
@@FilmPhotographyProject Here it is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instamatic There you can read: "The first Instamatic to be released was the Instamatic 50, which appeared in the UK in February 1963. The first model released in the US was the basic Instamatic 100, approximately one month later..."
I know that on the Rolleiflex SL26, which is Rollei's SLR for Instamatic, it doesn't work because the sprocket pin is too wide for 35mm sprockets. It can be filed down to work, or alternatively you can snip the bit of film in-between one pair of sprockets for every frame on the film, so it catches on the now wider sprocket. Not sure if the A26's the same, but I wouldn't be surprised if the catch mechanism is the same.
I recieved my 126 reloaded cartridge. Im having some trouble getting it to work in my instamatic X-15. I've watched all of these videos and I still can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas or pointers?
personally this just doesn't work for me. 126 film was meant to be a specific frame size and the sprockets on 35mm just ruin that for me. I can shorten the frame in the scan of course but it just doesn't feel right.
Out here doing what lomography should be doing

I'm stoopz. I keep forgetting about this! 😂
Yeah, but does it work with the Rollei A26, king of 126 cameras? That's the real question.
I would like to know too. As I am currently searching for a solution to getting my Rollei A26 up and running.
