There is room to argue that if the only way to eat this one fish is to keep it alive until the last part of cutting is accomplished then let them swim and eat a shrimp.

Pain in cephalopods is a very contentious issue because they don't have a reflex response to it (which is specific to vertebrates). However, they feel it and we should pay them respect by killing them in a quick and less painful way.
The first time I ate squid sashimi, I swore I tasted BUTTER. It was slightly crunchy and chewy at first but after a few chews, it felt like it *melted* in my mouth. It was salty and a bit sweet too! Definitely my favorite seafood.

It is just inhumane and cruel, you can't tell me that the squid is spoiled if it dies 5 minutes before you eat that thing. These chefs can go to any lengths to differentiate their product from the rest of the pack, even torturing mute animals.
Big squid isn't nice... honestly the small ones are better.. sweeter and tender (big ones are generally tougher and crunchier, hence why the small incision made in the video)
i dont understand, why wouldnt you kill a creature before you dismantle it? it feels unusually cruel to allow something to feel pain for a longer period of time before ultimately dying

イカにも色々な種類や状態があるから、ニチャニチャした食感だったりパキパキした食感だったりクニャクニャしてたり
色々あるから、たぶん食べられたり好きになれたりするイカもあると思いますよ。
無理に食べても余計嫌いになるかも知れないから無理して食べることはないけど、この動画クラスだとか高級な雰囲気のやつは試してみても損はないと思います。

Big squid isn't nice... honestly the small ones are better.. sweeter and tender (big ones are generally tougher and crunchier, hence why the small incision made in the video)

i dont understand, why wouldnt you kill a creature before you dismantle it? it feels unusually cruel to allow something to feel pain for a longer period of time before ultimately dying

After i found out squids feel pain, this video was hard to watch. Imagine being eaten alive.
Thats nature though. Animals eat others alive. Some way more brutal than this. Squid died quick a luxury most animals dont have.
