Too bad the interviewer can't just let Doug tell his story without all of the interruptions
I didn't have to scroll down to find this comment. I quit half way through. Dude loves to put words in people's mouths.
Always nice to hear other great artists giving mad props to KISS; people who go deep into the sanctum and come out the other side realizing how incredible the band is on so many levels.
Doug is one of my favorite guitar players and watching all these interviews reinforces my thoughts that he is a great down to earth guy! Jeremy, you're ok too! LOL
Aldrich is great! Aside from seeing him at NAMM... When I saw him roll out and command the audience when touring with White Snake back in the day at the Universal Amphitheatre with the Scorpions and Dokken. Sick show. Good stuff. Thank you Doug and Jeremy. Oh btw, Doug's Suhr pickups are super good. Check 'em out.
Love this dude..... pure balls to the wall player.
Doug you are my Hero! You my friend my opinion, are one of the best!
Awesome interview love your music forever 💯🎸❤🤘
Doug sounds very level headed and also very grounded
He’s a great dude! Hope ya check out the new The Dead Daisies album ⚡️
Hi Doug 🤗❤🇵🇷🤩🎸🤘🎶 You are such a Cool guy
Love Doug nhe is so down to earth
"Ace Frehley is just playing Jimmy page riffs"? That is comical. Does Van Halen sound like Angus young?
Doug is an amazing guitar player. Good thing he got to audition, good thing he didn't get the gig. They're so much older than him.
To watch Dougs career from afar, I'm glad he was bright enough at that age to learn from his surroundings. He unlike others judges the music for himself not what others think. Listen to his stuff with the dead daisies. Experience pays off.
Keep being who you are please sir. You are definitely a great example of your surroundings.
Truck on.
🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
Ok but they brought in session players to Re-record stuff in the studio and I heard interviews where gene and Paul being critical of others abilities.
Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads set the bar high for guitar players
If his hair was blond he didn't have a chance back then.
Hair dye.
Doug is my name too but sadly that's where any similarity ends 😅
You can be more like him by not wearing shirts with buttons.
Speed was never my thing as a guitarists. It's cool and it sounds great but it is not me. I like two guitar player bands with harmonies and great bass lines. Melodic, hard and classic rock is where I am. By classic rock I mean 70's and 80's rock. Some from the 60's.
Ace was not playing Pages licks. There are some similarities, however Ace sounds like himself. Don’t be so matter of fact… it’s only your opinion.
