However if taking ticket money people expect a top performance! paying flights hotels etc like myself as have seen all the Albert Hall shows & it's hard not to compare as David has set such high standards & ain't immune from people saying he doesn't sound as great but I take it for what it is my hero still playing at 78 & be his last shows this mini tour ⭐✌️👍
I’ve seen him two times for the “rtl tour” 1st time in Düsseldorf and second time In Chantilly ! In chantilly at the very beginning of the show he started his solo on rattle that lock and his Esquire guitar stoped working, a jack cable issue, so he started to dance and laughing on stage, so funny, and he said in French : c’est très vieux cette guitare, comme moi 😂 (it’s a very old guitar, like me) Chantilly was the best performance I’ve seen in my entire life !

Fantastic playing!! Absolutely wonderful. I do think some songs are harder on his voice at his age now but I also am certain he is saving his voice for the performance and that’s why he isn’t trying much here.

Like for the officially published rehearsal he's really struggling with his voice, both the power and the key...He made it sound so easy for decades...
I was at the Saturday rehearsal concert, his voice cracked a few times but he got it back. The set list is well laid out to give him extended periods to rest his voice. Overall it was still amazing and something I am so glad I got to see and hear.

Quem ama Pink Floyd/David Guilmour, os respeita pela sua história e pela sua obra, e respeita seus milhares de fãs do mundo inteiro. Então, as palavras tem que ser muito bem pensadas e avaliadas antes de serem ditas. Pois certas palavras ferem como um punhal encravado no peito.
Il rispetto che ho per Gilmour a prescindere da parte mia non può nascondere l'evidenza che sia stonato e che un musicista come lui non può nascondere dietro la sua notorietà. Proprio per la sua grandezza dovrebbe riconoscere che sarebbe meglio invitare altri a cantare. Se sei un musicista certe cose le capisci a prescindere ma forse lui si sente troppo superiore e pieno di se e non accetta il declino.

Non apprezzo particolarmente le sue ultime esibizioni live proprio perché mi fa male sentire la sua voce che non arriva, gli assoli stanchi, ecc…, ma quello che mi ha regalato nel corso della mia vita va ben oltre. Piuttosto non ascolto e me ne sto zitto.
If at 79, be happy if as well as him, you can sing. Be grateful he isnt using a backing track. I remember seeing Roger nearly 15 years ago, and he was clearly using a track back then.
@@garyto75 es engañoso, estuve todo el ensayo, y algunas canciones como Time ni las canto, pero las del último disco y otras como sorrow, high hopes estaba bastante bien en la voz... No esperes que tenga la voz de hace 20-30 años, pero para tener casi 80, está bastante bien, y en la guitarra excelente
@@JoseAnt81 ya no debería de cantar ya que precisamente por su edad y por lo caro que cuestan los boletos ya no lo vale, seamos honestos: tu vas y pagas para que el artista haga su trabajo como debe , en este caso su voz y la parte del costo del boleto que le correspondería a su ejecución vocal ya no lo vale. Deben de tomarlo en cuenta.
@@garyto75 acabo de venir del primer concierto del circo maximo, y yo personalmente, volvería a pagar por verlo, la primera parte del concierto, a está correcto con su voz, y en la segunda mitad, a esta excelente!!!

He holds back on his voice for rehearsals, but his voice isn’t what it used to be. He’s 79 after all

It happens unfortunately. He's close to 80 now. I'm just glad he's doing some shows again.
Seeing the setup, i am glad i opted for LA and not Circo Massimo. Had hoped for RAH, but such a small venue was impossible.

It's just a soundcheck. It's typical for singers to not put all their effort into singing on a soundcheck since they need to save their voice.
