I honestly think vr chat has made such an impact. Made socializing enjoyable and has created an amazing community and If i had my computer working I'd be able to play it
this is definitely a beautified version of whats actually going on in vrchat but not far off. the amount of people using full body tracking in that trailer astonishes me :D
One of THE best VR games. You can have an incredibly good time with it. I’ve made a ton of friends. I haven’t had this experience since vanilla WoW.

Not true, they feature people who are generally just popular in some communities. You probably only notice the streamers and youtubers since those are likely the only ones you've met and/or heard of.
Example: 0:16 That's Rantis, someone who makes models and other content either for free or commissioned, he's really popular amongst the nanachi community. He appears a few other times in the video, as the Nanachi you see where I linked, and in his other avatar 1:37 The robot with the big circle head.
There are others, but I'm not familiar with them, since I've never personally met them.

This game has improved so much from this and I think it’s amazing just to watch the first video of VrChat here and to compare it with what VrChat is like now is insane!!
Oh this comment didn't age so well now did it yeah sorry looks vrchat is dead with the new eac update that basically banned all mods including useful ones that help people with disabilities as well and effectively did nothing to solve any problems on vrchat so sorry to say vrchat is not doing so great now.

I love games like this, when I was a kid I used to play to play roblox and imvu more so roblox because you could make friends and play games it was like reality but not
I remember seeing a Simpson's episode, one set into the future and like one of the daughters or something went into this virtual world and there were like partys and stuff in there and I always wanted that becuase that concept sounds incredible and now it's a real thing and I just 😭 I have anxiety in general so making friend irls is hard it's so much easier online I love this game so much
I love VR because it snatches me away from reality and puts me in a place where my imagination is the limit of possibilities.

Vrchat coming to quest will bring in alot more friends to the community.
VRChat plans to add Easy Anti-Cheat in the next update.
What EAC will do for VRChat:
• Lower framerates
• Increase instability
• Stop script kiddies
• Stop "wholesome" mods, accessibility mods, and quality of life mods
• Stop AMD FSR/RSR, Intel XeSS, Nvidia VRWorks SLI from improving your framerate
• Stop select SteamVR mods that modify the game's runtime
• Stop programs like AudioTeapot (audio manager/soundboard) from working
• Stop Linux users from playing via Windows virtual machines or proton (they claimed it wouldn't yet it does)
• Lower the playerbase
• What EAC will NOT do for VRChat:
• Stop ripping (Avatar cache is still unprotected)
• Stop crashing (Crasher avatars)
• Stop all malicious mods (Those devs see this as a programming challenge)
• Stop all malicious actors (There's other ways of being annoying)
• Stop SDK modding
• Stop user harassment (Stop claiming this!)
• Close the security holes in VRC Udon
• Improve the game experience
What EAC has done in the present/past:
• Take routine snapshots of the user's desktop/video buffer
• Scan all processes running on user's machines
• Kill or try to kill all "unknown" or "untrusted" or "unregistered" running processes (including homemade processes)
• Locate the files of "unknown" or "untrusted" or "unregistered" processes and upload them to Epic's servers
• Scan the user's C:\Users\ folder and appdata folder
• Stop users from launching the game if Windows fails to install/update itself "correctly" (google "easyanticheat UNEXPECTED-KERNEL-MODE-TRAP", though epic tries to censor this issue)
• Stop device drivers that are "unknown" or "untrusted" or "unregistered" from running (including homemade drivers)
VRChat devs don't care because they're hiding all the complaint posts on the feedback canny and ignore everyone's requests to just add the QoL mod ideas into the game, but for the love of God, please don't add EAC and please listen to your community's requests. It is not good for the innocent users, the "wholesome" modders, and the QoL modders. Also maybe consider change whoever is writing the blog posts because they're so tone-deaf.
Kernel level anti cheats like EAC also allow new exploits into the OS as happen in Genshin Impact's anti cheat.
The people who wrote Genshin Impact's driver are probably much more skilled than the clowns who wrote EAC.

@@Jacob-oq1yd It's true that famous youtubers attracted the most players to the game. However, they wouldn't even know the game even existed if it weren't for the clips from Poke's stream that went viral. Pewdiepie only played the game after laughing at one of those clips, ya know.

Just like to say I enjoy playing this game. I am a Linux player and with Steam Proton, I am able to play without having to set up Wine, etc.. True I am not able to go to some worlds or see some avatars(some only see half of), I still enjoy playing. There is still a lot of worlds and avatars I am able to experience. I also streamed a couple times and recorded some of my plays(which as soon as I figure out how to edit them, I will post on RUclips). I would like to put my two cents in and wonder if it is possible to have an unfavorite list for worlds, similar to favorite list, so I know which worlds I can't go to because they crash me or lag way too much due to what shaders they use, or whatever it is.
I also want to note that over time, I have seen some improvements whether it be from what VRC dev accomplishes or what Steam Proton updates in being able to translate DX to VK. I have been able to even upload an avatar, although I found out that installing Unity3D changed some files and it prevented VRC to run again. Solution to this I figure is I would dual boot two Linux OS on separate partitions. Again, just saying there are some Linux players who enjoy the game :) (I understand the devs don't have the resources to solve Linux problems, but Steam seems to be improving their Proton set up) Keep up the good work!

If theres anything i could say about vrchat is that its one of the best games ive played since 2021 it deserves a s tier at most (whoever disagrees with me then its not my fault you live on the streets)

It’s incredible, amazing, but there is one issue.....the poor Quest players, myself included. It’s a shame we can’t get access to what this shows or what PC players can use, it’s just not right to give us less than 40% of the game. And we can’t even talk( Note: get a mic, ikr you need to spend MORE $ on it )or even show who we want to be, we’re just grey robots. If they can fix this, then VRChat can be a better place for ALL PEOPLE. No need to limit us and make us lose $400-$500 on a headset that gives you less than half the game. Please fix this Quest or producers of VRChat. Now the positives, this trailer was amazing man! They even added my boys Jameskii and Lolothon!!! (If you wish to support the idea above, give a like or comment, and yes I talk about BOTH sides of the topic. It would be helpful making some petition for us poor Quest users.)

Thing is, you have to realize, that people around you are just as shy usually. It's very OK to just approach someone and start talking. You will usually be listened to. That's how I've got my first ever VRchat gameplay to span 8 hours straight :)
