People in the stream kept asking how many takes it took to film, and how there must have been like a billion takes. The crazy thing is...there wasn't. They had extremely few takes due to various production limitations like how much time they had, and how many practical effects materials they had for all the smoke and sand. Some of those effects they could only do once or twice and if they ran out, it was done. Not only that, the staircase bit and some of the other scenes were actually improvised ON THE SPOT. Like "oh hey we discovered this awesome staircase, wouldn't it be cool if...". This crew and all the dancers are just INSANELY professional and top of their game. They go over all this in the behind the scenes video, which I'd love to see you react to!
The care that Jackson Wang has with his production crew (Team Wang) is ASTOUNDING!!! I really hope you get a chance to see the behind the scenes of this it's fascinating!!

Jackson creative directs all his MVs (he comes up with the theme and look and story) but he does hire very good production crews. I believe he got Daniel Cloud Campos to direct this? His team always had good taste with who to work with.

And guess what? The director of this mv is Daniel Campos who also directed panic at the disco's mv emperor's new clothes, this is gospel. And the greatest showman's the other side cinematography.

LOVE Jackson Wang! My favorite mv of his is 'Blue'. The mv is just beautifully shot in slow motion & I can't take my eyes from it. I just had to have "Magic Man" in my collection. And I've seen so many nice things about him, he's such a gentleman. 💜💜💜
