I can agree, this guy is VERY good at what he does, but the tools you use to matter-a lot actually. As an artist, I can confirm, if you have a crappy tool, you usually have a crappy outcome because it’s either overall hard to work with, falling apart, unsaturated/pigmented, and that can effect the end product.

Judy, I was in the middle of the worst break up of my life when you put this video up. Today its like 1.5 years ago, so I came back to this video. It reminds me of how lost and hurt I was, I was in such a dark place. This video kept me calm. I watched it like 10000 times, and it helped me sleep and get through the night. You have no idea how it helped me get through. Thank you. Please visit this mua again, and have a wonderful Christmas
This comment was so vulnerable & raw. So very lovely. I agree this video too is something different; meaning I felt peaceful watching this. He is truly an artist , you can tell by the way he uses his fingers, he was so soft. 🖤
I never comment on these type of vids but this time I feel I need to: his gentleness, determination (the struggle to work without proper tools is real af) and his sense of colors (that foundation work is priceless) plus your brilliant choice of music (great taste) in particular parts of the video made this all a breath-of-fresh-air journey into human's potential. Thank you. 💜
wait its so cute how gentle he was!! and he actually did really good omg awh 🥺💘 someone needs to get him some real tools cause he would be BOMB with them (unless he prefers using his hands skksk) 💗 also his colour matching skills are absolutely amazing and crazy how quickly he can do it omg 😳💘
Honestly, out of all of your videos I've seen(which is kind of a lot at this point because I'm on a Judy marathon), he is definitely the most GENTLE. The look is actually really cute and summery! I'm impressed at what he accomplished with the limited tools.
The end result was actually incredible. For what little he had, he did an AMAZING job. Your eyebrows are awesome. The foundation shade was perfect. How gentle he was was very impressive and relaxing. He needs the proper equipment to really excel. I truly believe that.
I don’t think it’s that he didn’t have any brushes, it’s more that he was using disposable items instead which means you’re getting clean, fresh tools for each person! 😄
You can tell he really cared to try and perfect every little detail, almost like an artist and he did an excellent job given the tools he had, really soft and gentle touch too, ever so delicate ☺️
This MUA is the best I’ve seen you go too, your face looked beautiful and flawless, they completely enhanced your natural beauty which is what makeup is mainly about They were so respectful and gentle with you It’s like this person is a artist painter or sculpts The end result is so pretty
You don’t need an entire case of “tools” to do makeup well. I like that he took his time. He did NOT need the fancy “techniques”. This looked WAY better than any of the fancy salons you have gone to.
This is hands down the absolute best look you have ever walked out with. Yes, he used his fingers as the primary tool, but everything looks generally blended, the liner actually works for your hooded eyes, and the colours he chose were pretty! If he went above and beyond with some light contour and highlight, he could easily charge $50 for his services. Good for him!
Nearly all the pioneers: Mary Greenwell, Pat McGrath, Kevyn Aucoin, Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa Eldridge founded their careers without many brushes and still choose to go with fingers a lot. This guy is brilliant and he is just fine the way he is!!
Thank you, it’s actually really annoying to see people saying he doesn’t have the proper tools. It’s clear they don’t really know a lot about the many different ways you can do make up. It’s like any art medium you can use almost anything, there are no rules only a theory
Many professional MUA’s use their fingers because it helps to heat the product or “melt” it into the skin for best possible blending and most natural look.
This has got to be your best makeup look so far! He clearly has a passion for makeup- hope he/somebody (like you say) is willing to invest in him to give him equipment/training.
I know that this is a pretty old video and that there aren't a lot of people that will to this but I honestly just want to say that this is, I think, the most nicest and calming video that Judy has ever made. The way that the make-up artist did her make-up with such care and softness, to the finished result of the make-up being very cute on you, and lastly, the soundtrack. The choice of music here, Chef',s kiss!! It added this really calming and mystical to the video. And also, I've been OBSSESED in knowing what it is and i really hope someone would respond to this
It sounds similar to windergarten's marble piano but I don't think it's that music that was used in this video, and I would sincerely appreciate it if someone were to reply to me
Best makeup artist I’ve seen on your channel. He got your foundation right and your eyebrow color, and he used beautiful colors that suit your look, doing all of this while on a budget and using barely any brushes, it goes to show that talent doesn’t necessarily NEED tools but the person must have the passion for it to make whatever they have work. I wonder how happy he would be to have more tools and produce even more beautiful work. It would be so good to see. Please go back!
He did so well! Imagine if he was given a chance to have professional teach him few tips and tricks, give hime some tools and viola - he could be one of the best MUAs!
See it’s these businesses that I love. Down to earth, they communicate with their customers and are polite. This was so wholesome and made me so happy.
Yes exactly. And he cleansed and moisturized her skin, as well as put hydrating lip balm on her. And he was so gentle. What a sweetheart.. He deserves the best tools, imagine the work he could do then :)
I always appreciate the background music you choose. It's always calming and relaxing. Like I feel as though I could fall asleep watching you get your makeup done. I feel like sometimes the music that beauty gurus use in their video's are overly energetic for a simple makeup tutorial.
Mary Greenwell, one of the most well-known professional makeup artists in the industry (she did Princess Diana’s makeup!) uses her fingers for foundation too. She says brushes waste product and are dirty. Definitely can’t fault him for using his fingers too. 🥺
@@PhoenixRoseYT Also, fingers are the same temperature and texture as your face, so it's certanly way easier to blend anything and it looks more natural.
Out of all those “worst reviewed/best reviewed” vids out there. This has def been my favourite. It has a positive spin on this trend and made me feel warm and fuzzy.
Why is this video so relaxing? I've been watching the video for years. I've probably watched it over 15 times. The look is beautiful and he is so gentle.
That feeling when a guy using Q tips and his own fingers is able to give you for $20 a better make-up than some professionals with their dirty brushes charging over $100 in high-end salons😑
I'm glad he gave you really soft looking makeup. The other makeup "artists" did too much to your face. Pat McGrath is one makeup artist who uses her fingers frequently.
The warmth of your fingers makes cream products more blendable and the natural oil from your skin helps blend powder down. Its only gross if you cant tell how long ago they last cleaned them
not using a brush does not mean not having tools or techniques. 10 years ago or maybe even less, makeup was done with only two brushes and q-tips and FINGERS. he was probably an old school artist. Even Bobbi Brown tells you fingers are the best blenders!!!
Judy, I have watched all of your makeup videos and this is by far THE best look on you. Like you said very natural and it suits you! Good application and I enjoyed watching the MUA using his hands. You should recreate the look as it works really well on you.
This is a person overcoming his circumstances and limitations. Love how he made it work. Love the hustle and triumph over the struggle. Yass you beat that face young man!
saynhi92 more often than not, they are hairdressers who also do the make up at salons. It happens in Colombia too, you find more male than female hairdressers and MUAs at salons.
There’s nothing wrong with hands and qtips. Lots of professionals use both. Instagram influencers have made people think they need to only use expensive applicators and have every palette but when you aren’t trying to sell things, you don’t need nearly as many items. I’m glad he moisturized your face and lips before makeup! I enjoyed how calm and careful he was doing your makeup. Looks great!! That said, man they need to sit you up so your neck can relax. And for sure get some brushes!
I’m glad you mentioned using fingers/hands. It helps to warm up the product and sometimes makes the product work better. Qtips are extremely handy in makeup application. If you can do an entire makeup application with just your finger/hands, qtips, and cotton you are Ana amazing makeup artist. Sometimes the tools don’t define the artist, it’s the heart and drive that does. Tools do help, don’t get me wrong but this guy is an making artist.
I love watching this guy. He’s a real artist. Just shows that success in this field is mainly talent, gentleness, and customer service. You look gorgeous. I think he was “in touch” with you. :) beautiful job.

Just looking at him, working, you can tell he's gentle and knows what he's doing! Looks so relaxing.
And another thing - when you're that good, you obviously don't even need tools!
Probably my favourite one so far. I wish he had all the possible tools. Kind of sad he doesn't. He has true talent and is very kind and polite. Maybe we could all together collect some money and get the best tools for him? 😊
Can we start this please? I would help...watching him be so gentle and talented was such a pleasure to see.
the insta is @5th_avenue1
Penelope Mars maybe he just likes using his fingers 🤷🏻♀️
can I donate to him????
Aww you guys are so sweet 💘
Judy, I was in the middle of the worst break up of my life when you put this video up. Today its like 1.5 years ago, so I came back to this video. It reminds me of how lost and hurt I was, I was in such a dark place. This video kept me calm. I watched it like 10000 times, and it helped me sleep and get through the night. You have no idea how it helped me get through. Thank you. Please visit this mua again, and have a wonderful Christmas
@Sue C yes I am, thank you!
this is so sweet to read
This comment was so vulnerable & raw. So very lovely. I agree this video too is something different; meaning I felt peaceful watching this. He is truly an artist , you can tell by the way he uses his fingers, he was so soft. 🖤
I never comment on these type of vids but this time I feel I need to: his gentleness, determination (the struggle to work without proper tools is real af) and his sense of colors (that foundation work is priceless) plus your brilliant choice of music (great taste) in particular parts of the video made this all a breath-of-fresh-air journey into human's potential. Thank you. 💜
I couldnt really agree more
👍👍👍👍
he seemed so nice and gentle i would totally donate a few new makeup brushes
wait its so cute how gentle he was!! and he actually did really good omg awh 🥺💘 someone needs to get him some real tools cause he would be BOMB with them (unless he prefers using his hands skksk) 💗 also his colour matching skills are absolutely amazing and crazy how quickly he can do it omg 😳💘
Honestly, out of all of your videos I've seen(which is kind of a lot at this point because I'm on a Judy marathon), he is definitely the most GENTLE. The look is actually really cute and summery! I'm impressed at what he accomplished with the limited tools.
I love how he probably took inspiration from the top you were wearing... he is so sweet i love him!
Go back to this guy! He’s so delicate and I’d love to see his updated skills!
The end result was actually incredible. For what little he had, he did an AMAZING job. Your eyebrows are awesome. The foundation shade was perfect. How gentle he was was very impressive and relaxing.
He needs the proper equipment to really excel. I truly believe that.
damn someone actually matched your skin tone and took what you are wearing into consideration.i love it
You should find him, show this video and the comments so he could see how good he is and how we loved his job
I don’t think it’s that he didn’t have any brushes, it’s more that he was using disposable items instead which means you’re getting clean, fresh tools for each person! 😄
Doubt it, that make up sponge wasn't new at all
Still used the camel head straight from lipstick bottle though and the mascara wand so hygiene questionable.
and a more contaminated planet!
You can tell he really cared to try and perfect every little detail, almost like an artist and he did an excellent job given the tools he had, really soft and gentle touch too, ever so delicate ☺️
he has so much potential honestly. he knows everything he’s supposed to do! and he’s working with what he’s got! and i love that!
drop the salon name this man needs items for his potential 😔
bangvelvet trash it's @5th_avenue1
@@cielosarabia1397 thank you
Aww he had the lightest touch and was respectful of you...so refreshing to see after the disasters you've been through!
a true mua. considering the limited resources he have and was still able to do an amazing job?? hands down
This MUA is the best I’ve seen you go too, your face looked beautiful and flawless, they completely enhanced your natural beauty which is what makeup is mainly about
They were so respectful and gentle with you
It’s like this person is a artist painter or sculpts
The end result is so pretty
If you can provide his salon address I can gift him the proper tools ! He really has pontential
I was thinking the same, such a great mua, he deserves better tools.
I think you could ask her in Instagram dms
Yes!! He was sooo good without having much, he deserves the best!
Amazing!
@5th_avenue1 is the insta
bro that artist is AMAZING. He's like the bob ross of makeup LOL like he did so well even without having proper makeup brushes/sponges
Those are little trees
I like that he kept your skin natural (and a good foundation match), I wish more people would learn good hygiene techniques though
This guy is brilliant and he is just fine the way he is!!
also I remember Nars designed his base products for hand application and Nars himself don't use brushes for applying foundation
Amusegirl1980 i agree
Thank you, it’s actually really annoying to see people saying he doesn’t have the proper tools. It’s clear they don’t really know a lot about the many different ways you can do make up. It’s like any art medium you can use almost anything, there are no rules only a theory
Also bobby brown! She once said that finger are the best tools for blending. Professional knows what's best all along❤️
And also, I've been OBSSESED in knowing what it is and i really hope someone would respond to this
It sounds similar to windergarten's marble piano but I don't think it's that music that was used in this video, and I would sincerely appreciate it if someone were to reply to me
@evan4799 One of the songs is by par, the song name is the motel of Luxembourg.
I'm just gonna say that a real professional can do amazing things with things that are at hand.
You look like a cute doll Judy ♥
Best makeup artist I’ve seen on your channel. He got your foundation right and your eyebrow color, and he used beautiful colors that suit your look, doing all of this while on a budget and using barely any brushes, it goes to show that talent doesn’t necessarily NEED tools but the person must have the passion for it to make whatever they have work. I wonder how happy he would be to have more tools and produce even more beautiful work. It would be so good to see. Please go back!
finally someone found a pretty good foundation match !!👍🏼
Yaaas 🙌🏻❤️
He did so well! Imagine if he was given a chance to have professional teach him few tips and tricks, give hime some tools and viola - he could be one of the best MUAs!
underpriced which is probably why he cant afford brushes :(
first one Ive seen pick a look that actually suits you and looks good
he should charge more
he was so gentle, i felt tingly watching him work, honestly I'd love to follow his social media to see more of his work, it's so simple and cute~
@emperor.oficial but he doesn't have much work on there. For that follow the salon. @5th_avenue1
y'all don't judge
i be using blush and contour for my eyeshadow at times lol
Evelyn Lopez me too! No shade!
In the end they are all shadows 🤷🏻♀️ it doesn’t really matter. I also do that
Whatever is best for you! Plus, that saves money in the end!
I use brown eyeshadow for bronzer🤷🏽♀️

See it’s these businesses that I love. Down to earth, they communicate with their customers and are polite. This was so wholesome and made me so happy.
This really warmed my heart. He seems like a nice, soft(?) Person idk
Exactly what I wanted to sy
Yes exactly. And he cleansed and moisturized her skin, as well as put hydrating lip balm on her. And he was so gentle. What a sweetheart.. He deserves the best tools, imagine the work he could do then :)
I would love it if she went back to him and asked for another look
I always appreciate the background music you choose. It's always calming and relaxing. Like I feel as though I could fall asleep watching you get your makeup done. I feel like sometimes the music that beauty gurus use in their video's are overly energetic for a simple makeup tutorial.
Mary Greenwell, one of the most well-known professional makeup artists in the industry (she did Princess Diana’s makeup!) uses her fingers for foundation too. She says brushes waste product and are dirty. Definitely can’t fault him for using his fingers too. 🥺
People tend to forget Alot of professional makeup artist prefer to use fingers 🤷🏽♀️
People also forget that like 10 years ago beauty blenders weren’t really a thing lol
Yeah Wayne Goss is a huge proponent of using fingers. They’re much easier to clean than brushes that’s for sure!
@@PhoenixRoseYT Also, fingers are the same temperature and texture as your face, so it's certanly way easier to blend anything and it looks more natural.
This was the BEST makeup you’ve had done yet! The colors complimented you so well. It was perfect!!
Same
That feeling when a guy using Q tips and his own fingers is able to give you for $20 a better make-up than some professionals with their dirty brushes charging over $100 in high-end salons😑

Yeah, I was thinking the same! He didn't make her look like a drag queen. He highlighted her natural beauty instead of turning her into a diff person
Judy, I have watched all of your makeup videos and this is by far THE best look on you. Like you said very natural and it suits you! Good application and I enjoyed watching the MUA using his hands. You should recreate the look as it works really well on you.
I liked the black version too..... Thick black pencil on the top eyelid....
This is a person overcoming his circumstances and limitations. Love how he made it work. Love the hustle and triumph over the struggle. Yass you beat that face young man!
Aww he was super delicate and careful.. it was really relaxing to watch, almost ASMR
Ps ... u looked so pretty ☺️
Maryy thank u for your last sentence 😂
I totally agree I was feeling so relaxed watching this lol
This video shows that you don't need expensive equipment to be talented
I'm so interested by the fact that so many of the makeup artist in Equador are men, here in the US I mostly see women.
saynhi92 more often than not, they are hairdressers who also do the make up at salons. It happens in Colombia too, you find more male than female hairdressers and MUAs at salons.
@@saraangel6696 i used to do hair and makeup
@Lifted Sailboat Yeah I once got my hair done on a salon when I was on vacation and they did great! They also made my eyebrows for free.
Tools do help, don’t get me wrong but this guy is an making artist.
i swear that using q tip aith little bit concealer, especially when I ducked my eyeliner wing yet again is the best thing ever
he has so much potential 😭😭 and I feel like he made it match to your outfit that's why it was so soft and cute, I loved it
I love watching this guy. He’s a real artist. Just shows that success in this field is mainly talent, gentleness, and customer service. You look gorgeous. I think he was “in touch” with you. :) beautiful job.
