It's much clear! But do you mind me asking one Q? that Q3 how did we find the exterior angle that we divided with 360? Its says 360/30 how did we get 30? Would u kindly Explain. Thank you!! Ps I have my finals coming ahhh
For Q3 it is just the style of question you may be asked on some exams. Sometimes you are given only the exterior angle of the polygon and are asked to find how many sides it has. So for this question I already knew the polygon had 12 sides but I worded the question in a way where you had to calculate it using only the knowledge of the exterior angle. There won't be picture of the polygon in the question, you have to just imagine it. Does that help?
The 30 is in the question, so you have to divide 360 by 30 to get the number of sides. BTW, the 360 is the total of the exterior angles. I hope this helped
If we use the triangle method from the video, we can use the formula: *(n-2) x 180 degrees = sum of interior angles* where n is the number of sides of the polygon. So if we look at the octagon for example, it has 8 sides, so n will equal 8. If we put this into the formula above we get (8-2) x 180, hence 6 x 180 = 1080. So an octagon has 1080 degrees as its sum of interior angles. This formula can be used for any polygon by replacing n with the number of sides. e.g. undecagon sum of interior angles = (11-2) x 180 degrees. Nonagon sum of interior angles = (9-2) x 180 degrees. Hope this helps!
