    -100 from theft. +70 from goods. -- Without theft they would’ve had 100 in register +70 from sale of goods. -- So if they only had that 1 sale all day… their books would’ve read +$170 -- However after the theft and sale their books would read - 100 +70 EOB: -$30 When it should’ve been +$170 - That is a cash loss of -$140

    Why is a pentagon order 5?, shouldnt it be order 1,since it only fits one time in the rotational symetry?

    • @MinityMaths
      @MinityMaths 10 дней назад

      A regular pentagon has 5 equal sides and 5 equal angles of 72 degrees each (360/72 = 5). So it can be rotated 5 times within a 360 degree turn and still look the same.

    Question regarding practice questions 2. 1/2 x y x 4 = 14. Where did the 1/2 go from the calculation? Shouldn't y be equal to 8cm?

    • @MinityMaths
      @MinityMaths Месяц назад

      Hi, thanks for your question. There are a number of different ways we can work this one out. It might be easier to convert the 1/2 into a decimal, 0.5. So the equation would be: 0.5 x y x 4 = 14. Rearranging this (as multiplication can be done in any order) gives: y x 0.5 x 4 = 14 Simplifying the equation we end up with: y x 2 = 14 (as shown in the video) Hence: y = 14/2 y = 7 Hope this helps?

      @jonathanchoy7286 Месяц назад

      @@MinityMaths Thanks. I got it now. I made a mistake with my calculation and I was reading it wrong earlier for some reason. I'm not sure why I was reading y x 2 = 14 as y x 4 = 14 earlier. Thanks for clarifying and the quick response.

    Peter stole $100. An hour later John bought a $70 goods from the same shop. How much did the shop lose? $100. I couldn't care less if Peter and John knows each other, are accomplices, or even the same person.

    This is ONLY correct if the groceries were given to the store FOR FREE. The total loss is $200.

    • @Namath1000
      @Namath1000 Месяц назад

      $100 was stolen. The store lost $100. That's it. That he made a purchase with the $100 is irrelevant. You can also look at it another way. The thief left the store with $100 more ($70 in goods / $30 cash) than he came in with. If the store's loss is $200 and the thief's gain is $100, who did the store lose the other $100 to?
