    Can't wait for mine it's almost out west! Looks like a smidgen more of down pressure on the roller? How did that area turn out after chopping it up?

    Do you mind explaining why you did a second pass? The ground looked perfect for seeding on the first pass. Thanks!

    • @Fayettepropertysolutions
      @Fayettepropertysolutions  4 месяца назад +2

      We made the second pass because the depth wasn’t set deep enough to really cut everything out. If you watch at the end of the first pass, there is still some grass left over, along with some irregularities in the final look. This is our very first use of the attachment, so we were still attempting to figure out where it likes/needs to be.
      Thanks for your comment!

    Run that tractor wide open. Better for the engine. It is designed to be run at max rpm.

      Thank you for sharing the playlist, Joe. Would you be able to recommend a stone burier/soil conditioner that is able to fit through a 42-48inch gate opening? I'd love to purchase one of these for my business, but limited property access has made it a real challenge.

      @@mttw I don't have and recommendations. You might find someone selling one for a mini skid steer attachment or a walk behind 2-wheel tractor. You might need to find an equipment dealer who can import one from Europe. I don't think they are yet common in the states.

    oh you mean a "sand" cultivator?

      Sand, soil, whatever you’re in. We just happened to have sandy soil in that spot we filmed in

    It's not a single pass cultivator. First pass till second pass cultivate.

    My customers hire me for the smoothest, most level grades possible. On the first pass I noticed some "depressions" as if rocks were being drug across the surface. The second was better but I still noticed some depressions. I would NOT be happy with that finished result. Do you have experience with the Power Rake? I know that Ventrac says this does NOT replace the Power Rake for smoothing rough terrain. What are your overall impressions of the cultivator? I'm just not sure this is something that will do well in my area with all the rocks we have

    • @Fayettepropertysolutions
      @Fayettepropertysolutions  Год назад

      I’d highly recommend trying one out for yourself and see how you feel. These were all our very first passes ever with the attachment. There is certainly a learning curve involved in getting a better finish than what we were able to achieve in this video. We have a power rake as well and anticipate bringing it along on our jobs that the cultivator goes on as well to fix the imperfections along the way.

      @@Fayettepropertysolutions I'm surprised Ventrac didn't lend me a set to test given the rough conditions we have here. If it does a good job, it will work anywhere

      @@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 I wouldn't pass judgement on it too quickly. I only have used a half dozen attachments but found each has kinks to iron out and quirks to learn the first time you use it. Think of your video using the stump grinder for the first time. Judging by the comments a lot of people weren't happy with the performance it displayed, but it was just a learning experience where you saw what would make it work better for next time. I would be willing to wager the same applies here.

      @@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 GA clay is about as hard packed soil as you’ll find in the south east, and it seems to work great in that, so I wouldn’t worry about whatever soil you’ve got local to you
