- Today, we travel to the capital of the beautiful Italy, Rome, to paint a cityscape built on the composition and three colors. I would like to introduce you a new, truly wonderful color - Phthalo Blue Turquoise. It is amazing in itself, but even more remarkable as a part of mixes. We would add Transparent Pyrrol Orange and Indigo to it.
The Narrow Street in Rome. @DANIELSMITHArtistColor watercolor. 22x15 in.

Normally I don't gravitate to orange but I love this orange.
Marta!

Muchas gracias!
¡Muchas gracias, Oscar! I will keep doing these every Monday :)
Very nice! One question if you don't mind.
Did you moisturize the paper beforehand? It seems like the paint stays wet some time which allows you to be not in a hurry and place other color side by side with previous one when the previous edge still a little bit wet. Am I wrong? Or you reach it just on completely dry paper?
Hi Michael. Beautiful painting and nice colors. What would it look like if you used your regular cobalt blue and quinacridone sienna instead?
Well, it would like look slightly different, possibly a bit less bright! But you can absolutely use Cobalt and Quin Sienna instead.
🥂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥂
Thank you Michael, I have a question, you put the wet papel on top of what? I tried put on plastic board, but always need a lot of water to stay firmly, and later it’s too wet to paint.
Great question. It's about time. After you put water you have to wait at least 15 minutes. And that's changed everything. After that you can remove extra water and start to paint. And that help you to keep your paper wait a long time.
Watercolor Online with Michael Solovyev ok, thank you very much sir !
I don’t see any subtitles Michael ? That would be great !

Thanks so much , I love hearing your voice but as you know can’t cope with the loud music , this will be a solution. Wishing you a very happy New Year!
Hi Michael, I got a lavender DS and it looks different to my very old one. Do you know if they change formula or my old one changed with time :)) I’m starting to think maybe it was not even DS 🤷♀️ hope it’s ok to ask this question, it’s not very on topic :) Thanks!
Dear Anna, thanks for the question! No, the formula has not changed. The technology and the composition are as they were before. Lavender is mixed from three pigments (PW6, PV15, PB29), and two of them are natural pigments of the mineral origin, by the way. That is why every batch of minerals is ever so slightly different. But this is the price we pay for natural, authentic mixtures. That would never happen with chemical or synthetic pigments.
Best,
Michael.
I mentioned you and your brushes on Lion Yanconsky channel. He listed a link to the brushes. Do you ever give discounts or sale on brushes? I want one! I am following your style all the time!
Hi, our policy is to give discounts to the returning customers :)
@@watercoloronlinemsolovyev so if I buy a brush I could get a discount if I order again? I’m trying to decide between yours and Lebenon Brushes.
Yes, that is a principle :) Choose what is best for you!
Placed my order last night!
Fabulous subtle use of colour , but had to turn off the sound as it was louder than your voice and so annoying !
Sorry to hear that, Sylvia. I personally love the music and usually paint with background music as well. Sorry that it is not your cup of tea :( Well, at least there are subtitles...
