You got this brotha and cousin two off beat black bros to venture out from Compton where we grew up before moving in Inglewood. Me and my cousin DeVante he loved you too (He passed from Covid early in pandemic) that is first Jody Summer Jam but I have many The Healing when D passed because we were on lock and family couldn’t see or be with him is something we will never get over. I could go on. I love you , your music and artistry immensely ✊🏿🙌🏿👑

Still A Thrill - without a doubt. I can still remember blasting that cassette, in the passenger seat of my mom’s car and she’d roll down the window of her 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix and we would both laugh and say, at the end “where are my keys?”❤

Workin on a groove. The moment I bought this CD I went home to play it right away. I was blown away by this song. It took me for a summer stroll on a beach. Loved it so much and I still love it. It’s so warm and romantic and it’s a classic. 💗💗💗

@@jodywatley ..A friend of mine at that time was in a long distance relationship and there were times that I really did not want to take that road trip but while on the road to our destination, he had a Jody Watley mixtape (CD) that a local DJ made for him and he loved these songs ...so much that he would the Jeep off the road and blast the stereo when these songs came on...they were right behind each other in selection mode and he would dance to the passenger side of the Jeep and pull me out to dance with him and when he did that..I would get into the whole thing with him and it was a good and special time of bonding between he and I...sorry for being long winded but I wanted you to understand why I chose these songs ....thank you
