OMG me and my 14 year old daughter Haiden absolutely love this recipe!!! This became the only beef stew that we make now, and I know it will be the last!! Everyone in my family loves it! The noodles with lemon and parsley is amazing. I usually would put a stew over white rice, but every one should definitely try this recipe! I followed the recipe exactly. Everyone that loves beef stew needs to make this dish for your family. It's super easy and only a little prep time. The slow cooker does the rest!!! Also please check out Ree's Dutch ovens! Wow so cute and it is 100% my go to !! Thanks Ree !!
Slaw is almost always best when aged overnight. In fact, the bagged slaw makes a very good pickle. Get it old (about to expire) and do either a quick pickle or a normal pickle. Good and good for you. Plus pickling makes it much easier for your body to digest the raw cabbage. I used to call cole slaw super colon blow, because it was like a pipe cleaner for your colon.
When i want to serve noodles with my stews, i just toss the uncooked noodles into the slow cooker at the end of the cook, that way they get to soak up all the flavor of the stew. Granted, this can result in overcooked pasta, but i really don't mind that in a stew. Plus, it saves another pot, so that's good.
Nothings easier. During the week, my kids ate nothing but crock pot meals for dinner growing up. I swear those poor kids have eaten every crock pot recipe under the sun….and loved 90% of them too.
Lasagna + add a bell pepper when sautéing onions + use the Sargento or Great Value Italian Cheese mix instead of the individual cheeses mentioned here + I don't use ricotta or cottage cheese, but I can imagine cream cheese being a great substitute + use Barilla oven-ready (homestyle) lasagna pasta for a GREAT pasta texture

Tried the first recipe for the beef with pepperoncini. Really hoped I would love it but it was insanely salty. No one would eat it. Ended up throwing the entire batch away. Other recipes I’ve seen since suggest only using a few pepperoncini and a few TBS of the juice. Might try that next time.

... I think she meant to say " Cabbage ", ...not " lettuce "... I've never heard of using Lettuce in Coleslaw .....😉😁 I actually don't like using bagged Mix. ...its often not that Fresh ,and unless its Organic... I just buy the things needed for Coleslaw. Personal preference.
😂 Yes you add egg and Romano cheese and salt/pepper to the ricotta, the texture is not pasty and makes lasagna taste better. Better yet, do it traditional and make a bechamel instead of cottage cheese (which is VERY salty)
I’ve always thought when someone makes an entire slow cooker full of food, or pot etc, adding a “pinch” of plvlack pepper does not make a difference. I think it’s like the placebo effect lol. I guarantee you if she didn’t adds that amount of pepper to one batch, and doesn’t add any to another, and does a taste test side by side, no one would be able to tell a difference. It’s literally one grain of black pepper per 10-15 bites! Why bother?
Hi Lovely, Before you, I watched some other crock pot ladies. They all used that pre shredded crappy cheese. Ugh! As you know, that already shredded cheese has methelcelulose (? spelling) PLASTIC in it 😝. Thank you for being intelligent AND pretty.
All that prep work defeats the purpose of a slow cooker - which allows a "dump and go" break from cooking. Why use a slow cooker at all if you're going to be standing over a stove and prepping and mixing and doing traditional cooking before even putting in the cooker?

Cottage cheese large curds is the best in lasagna. Ricotta is to pasty how does cheese is more creamy and much better tasting than ricotta
