A suggestion for you to consider would be to blind her from the perfume's the name, as people do not know the name of the perfume you're wearing when they smell it, and even just a name can prime the interpretation of the smell.

Yeah I been wearing portrayal man quite a bit lately and it’s really growing on me. I actually get a lot of compliments with it as well which surprised me because it hits so different. I get a violet almost ‘purple’ freshie that oozes class and has a calming rainy day sort of effect. Love it. Underrated.
YOu sure you ve got the right Beach Hut :-)))..your missus first impression was nutty ??.. I guess we are all made different even our olf factory sense everyone picks up diff.notes first..to me Beach Hut is so damn minty with vetiver, orange blossom and sooooo mossy..its like a fresh cut grass 6 am sprayed with mint and citrus:-)...Amouage rocks though..one of the best..Thumbs up
@@yaro-8 yeah in my full review of it I got the same impression is you. I let my wife go unfiltered sometimes I wanna jump in but I practice restraint. Sometimes I’m confused why she says something then I smell the fragrance and instantly get what she means lol she said The Matcha 26 smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream for example when I kept that in mind I totally saw the connection I otherwise never saw 😅. PS : i amassed quite the collection last 15 yrs..Amouage is very unique. Have maybe 13-15 bottles. Personally cant stand Beach Hut :) I d rather wear that new pickle juice Terre D Hermes H24 Herbes Vives.
It’s so subjective. I wasn’t the biggest fan of beach hut either but too minty and green. My favorites from Amouage have been Reflection, Jubilation XXV, Interlude Black Iris, and King Blue so far but I haven’t tried them all yet. I get excited when I receive an Amouage sample tho with other brands I have a better idea what to expect. I started making videos for fun but I stopped watching fragrance RUclipsrs because I realized they never have anything bad to say about anything lol. Like, they’re not even giving their honest take. So I already knew what most them said about things there was no entertainment or educational value just a commissioned sales man, I can get that at Sephora.

I learned my lessons with some of these though.At some point you ask-is this bottle for me and my pleasure at home- or do I want others to enjoy my company.."bout 6 months ago I gave in.. with all these youtubers hyping up Interlude 53 to highest heaven. I didnt like it all that much, but against my first instinct, I actually dished out $ 520 in Neiman's. All excited, I I knew i had to spray little once/twice only. I got to work 8 am, my good friend,lady-says,phew, did you just come from an Indian kitchen ??? all those spices..next was meeting at noon, big boss walks in, first thing he says, who is wearing the chinese medicine cabinet..I was so embarrassed. All bummed out i got home 5 pm my wife says-honey did u guys have bonfire at work ?? At this point i was ready to take hammer to that bottle... Icing on the cake, I played beer league hockey game later that night, my buddy in lockerrom asked me if i put on Bengay menthol cream for muscle aches, because i reeked of spicy menthol..so yah, the hype doestn always align with real world results

It stays very personal. Portrayal Man is my most complimented fragrance. Green, aromatic, soapy, ozonic, different. Not 6 but 11/10.
