It's funny how Baptism in Trinidad is more Afrocentric while in Kingston Jamaica, it's the upper class/lighter skin people are generally Baptist,but when you go to rural parishes like St Thomas and St Mary ,it resembles this,...Think am lying ,ask any Kingstonian about Mona baptist and the first think they tell you is about fancy cars.,.I need to come Trinidad and learn more about the culture..I didn't know they held on to their black side.
In Jamaica they are called Revivalist/Zionist or Pocomania not Baptist. The question to asked: why Baptist church was separated or different from Zionist in Jamaica. You know the answer if you read about religion, slavery and colonialism in the Caribbean.
