Health inspector: How hot is your grill?
    This guy: Ripping hot

Nobody puts a steak on a hot grill when it's ice cold regardless of how you want it done. This shocks the meat and makes it tougher.

As soon as I heard cold steak on grill, I stopped listening and went to comments to find this type of comment. Glad I’m not the only one who thought this was bogus. Funny, video was ending as I finished this comment and they didn’t show us the steak cut open to confirm his medium. Probably raw in the middle.

    is that iodised salt?

How about starting with shooting for a certain internal temperature as a good guide for how the steak will be done or even how long on each side at a certain temperature? Pressing on the steak and telling us it just takes practice is of no help whatsoever!

The production values are poor. The audio and video leave much to be desired.

Ummm, no…never put cold steak on the grill…the meat will be tough…let it come close to room temp and then the grill

    • @5050kas

Room temp is bogus. It would take all day to come to room temp. how long does it take to cook a steak at 500 degrees? Then how long will it take to cook a steak to 70 degree inside? it would take hours and hours. your food would be rotten by then.

With a premium cut of meat like a beef tenderloin on a non contributor to marination I want the grill to be hot I want the meat to be room temperature I want nothing on that meat but salt pepper and garlic I want the grill to be hot I want to move it continuously with tongs on all six sides yes six sides I want the internal temperature to be no more than a hundred and five let that piece of me rest for at least 10 minutes then we will have these dashed piece of meat and most tender chewing meet there is to have in it does not have to be primed it could be choice or grade A

Quit saying “right” at the end of every sentence ! It’s deeply annoying and makes me question your cooking knowledge. As bad as saying “ like “ at every breath. Right ? Ugh.
