    No.8 and no.14 are wrong because halogens show +m and -i effect with max -i in f and min +m in f and +m effect is inversely proportional to acidity as it increases e- density on ring correct order should be f>cl>br>i

      SIR inhibits low quality resonance , but the resonance still occurs between the two oxygen atoms which is much more effective ,, hence acidic strength increases

      they can donate lone pair

      Halogen are always weakly deactivating group so if word deactivating comes then be sure it shows -m effect so x are electron withdrawing group always (keep remember this).....see in this question OH of phenol is +m that means it increases electron density on ortho and para hence at para position halogen can see there is e density so they will withdraw electron from that para side (because halogen shows - m effect ) ..if halogen are showing -I and -m then order of electron withdrawing tendency is f(cl(br(I ...bt if halogen shows on -I effect than order is f)cl)br)I.......one imp point keep remember as halogen are -m directing (weakly deactivating ,e withdrawing )bt they show ortho ,para direction in electrophilic substitution .....this is a big exception keep remeber
