    My first 3 1/2 month old was 20 pounds. Now he's a happy healthy 21 year old.
    #2 came out 9 pounds so he had a head start
    #3 was hospalized for her 1st 30 days. I pumped so much milk the nurses wanted to feed the entire nursery. I ended up using the extra for #1 and #2 morning cereal. "Hey! They were still MY kids at ages 3 and 5!" 😍😂

He said, “ let your child decide when they are ready to ween. Breasts aren’t sex organs like the media portrays them. They are for keeping babies alive and soothing them, bonding.” He nursed until he started school! He’s the most well adjusted, intelligent 26 year old I’ve ever met! More so than most of the people my own age! Scored a 35 on the ACT and is so thoughtful! Well done momma! I wish all mommas could do this! ❤️

      And everyone should remember that there are mothers who aren’t able to breast-feed. I did with my son for the first year and a half. With my daughter, 14 years later, my milk didn’t come in! No matter what I took, or how much I pumped, I never got any milk out of one side, and the other side was just a small trickle. I gave him the trickle I had, but then I had to go on a search for breastmilk from other mothers. Those generous other mothers were my lifesaver and provided for my baby what I could not! So, just remember if you do produce, especially if you produce prolifically lol, to consider helping out those of us who couldn’t ❤

      My last big boy got to 10kgs (22lbs) at 6 months on breast milk only!
      Nothing better for Mums, babies & families.
      Dad can do his thing later....
      Admitted, it is pretty hard work & intense during those first few months.
      The world revolves around that one little being.
      So much easier later, any subsequent babies just get hauled about & have to adapt.
      The first in many ways is the hardest!!

    • @Haley497
      @Haley497 7 месяцев назад +39

      I breastfed my son exclusively until he was 6 months and kept going until he was 14 months. Only stopped because it was time for his open heart surgery and doctors said the trauma of sudden weaning off breast milk would harm him more than stopping gradually and peacefully before the hospital procedures. So, point being, even a very sick child with congenital heart defects gained weight and immunity from breastfeeding alone...and it wasn't "time consuming", if anything, I was the one taking each precious breastfeeding moment as the last and would do it all again. Happy to report he survived, is virtually cured and turns 12 next week. Go mammas!!! And daddas too hehe

      This generation is growing up constantly comparing themselves with others and if someone isn't doing things exactly as they do they feel so insecure about their own decision that they are clawing that other person into shreds.
      And before anybody gets their claws out: I breastfed my son for a long time, it was good, he's cute, he's smart, he's fit. So are most of the kids his age who were fed with formula.

      Breastfeeding is actually easier than bottle feeding, I absolutely loved it, breast feed my two children until they were past 3 years old ( it is kind of a cultural thing). They are grown now and dont even get colds, ever.

      @@mimozamaci2588 it actually is way easier. You don't need to get up to prepare a bottle. It is always available and has the right temperature every time. Your baby doesn't need to cry for long when hungry because the boobies are unpacked in seconds.
      It is only an issue when the mom can't breastfeed due to health issues imo. I feel like it's an issue in the USA too because moms don't get any maternity leave and therefore don't have the time (or are too stressed) to bond with their babies for healthy breastfeeding

When my second baby was around 3 months old the lady behind me in the grocery store tapped my shoulder then asked,”are you sure your baby has a neck?” I was proud and insulted all in one second. 😳 Rise children to have caregivers in old age? 🤔

    • @XOChristianaNicole
      @XOChristianaNicole 7 месяцев назад +4

      @@cricos_crea- Yeah, it’s a strange thought, though, it seems America is one of the few cultures that have a more “individual” mindset, vs. familial-based.
      Though, narcissism was purposefully bred into western society, post-WWII, so, that could have something to do with it, also..
      I don’t think it’s right to *expect* children to be a parent’s caretaker, in their elder years.
      Though, One cannot blame a parent to *desire* to be taken care of, in their old age, by their children.
      And it is really nice, when it does become full circle.
      However, also, it depends on the quality of the relationship.
      Not every parent who desires such, has earned such.
      I know that all too well.
      I’d say as long as parents put adequate effort into cultivate a loving, healthy relationship and upbringing for their children - having that desire is completely reasonable.
      Though, as someone with family members diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder, as well as someone who was bedridden/housebound for a near decade, up until fairly recently, is permanently disabled, has no family except a mother I would rather die than be under the care of, ever again; as well as unmarried and can’t have children..
      I can’t help but wonder who would take care of me, in my older age - when I couldn’t even get taken care of by those who were suppose to, and even committed to, in my younger ages?
      In reality, it’s a valid concern and worry for anyone to have.

      I went to the dr with 3 of my grandsons this past week and their dr was my daughters dr also. Her youngest is 5 months. She went to listen to his lungs and he was a lil fussy. So she just took him from he and started rocking him while she listened to him. Then turned him to a hold him in her arm to finish checking him. She is truly a gift to the medical field. He is my youngest daughters first chubby baby. He was a premie born at 34wks at 6lbs 2oz, came home at 16 days weighing 6lbs 9oz and now he is 17lbs. She pumped as much as she could for him but her supply has always been so low. She pretty much went dry when he was about a month and a half old. But she gave him the best start possible.
      My 5yr old granddaughters arms looked like a roll of Hawaiian rolls when her arms was straight😂. She was super chunky and a booby baby till 10 months old.
