Hello from japan! Thank you for sharing very helpful video! My son and I are going to visit Disneyland next week only for 1 day! (Transit day to go to see my mother in law!) I am huge disney fan but we have not gone for over 3 years due to travel restrictions. We do not have time enough so I am so glad to see what kind of merch are selling now in advance! Thank you so much!!!
Winnie the Pooh is one of my favorite stores. And I like Trader Outpost. There are a few more on mainstreet I like as well. Even saw a few things I want now. Oh, and did you smell the Beignet ears. They smell just like them. It's amazing.
I did not. But I did later see (through looking for thumbnail photos) that they had a scent. Not sure I’d want to be sniffing merch in stores though. 😂
Thank you for taking the time to show all the shops the parks offer! What a great informational and unique vlog! It is definitely helpful for people who have never been there!
I appreciate your content. I hope you are open to feedback. You may not realize it, but you tend to zoom in on all the items you’re interested in, but you skip many interesting items that you personally don’t care for. Ears and princess items are still exciting for viewers. While I’m not interested in Star Wars items personally, but I hope to see a variety of featured items in the video.
Yes. Definitely open to feedback. My intent, at the outset, was to not really focus on any specific type of merch. It’s an overview. Meant to give you the general gist of what each store contains rather than specific items. Sometimes I highlighted items because they caught my eye (Star Wars or Toy Story), sometimes because I thought others might enjoy them (the Winnie the Pooh stuff). But ultimately doing this video I learned some things. I learned there was a whole store dedicated to Haunted Mansion merch (I had no idea this existed) and the same could be said of beignets and Tiana. Because merch changes so frequently or sells out, what is there one day could be gone less than a week later. It’s better to be aware of what “type” of items a store sells over the actual specific items themselves. Star Wars was a huge portion of the video only because there’s a whole land dedicated to it and countless shops inside the land.
I can definitely consider that for some more specific topic merch videos. For this walkthrough, and the one for DCA tomorrow, my goal was more of an overview, showing you what types of products were available. I didn't show prices (for the most part) because a month from now these items may not even be there. But definitely, if we're focusing in on a specific type of product, like a new release of a product line, prices will be something I can work into the video in the future.
It takes me about 90 minutes to film a video like this. That obviously involves some window shopping, so is not a straight walk around the park. I’ve done a full loop before in about 30 minutes. If you cut from one extreme side to the other, it’s maybe about 10-15 minutes. On average, my family walks 23,000 steps, but we also do a lot of park hopping and chasing the low wait times. I would plan for a minimum of 12,000 steps though. That’s a tad over 5 miles.
The build a droid is in Galaxy’s Edge at the Droid Depot. Star Trader has a Build a Lightsaber, but it’s one of those cheap $50 plastic ones. Savi’s Workshop in Galaxy’s Edge allows you to build one or the higher quality savers for $200ish
Years ago before galaxy's edge the star wars traders store had a section where you could build a mini 3" action figure droid based on parts from r2 and c3p0 (different from the current droid depot larger remote controlled toys). They had different colors for the head, body and limbs. Sometimes they had special hats like mickey hat that you can add when building the figure. Just wondering if they still had that at the star traders store.
Not exclusively, no. This is my first merch video of any kind. I’m not typically a merch person, but if this one takes off in the long run, I can consider adding a monthly review of new merch or special event merch, etc. For now, I have no additional merch videos planned outside of DCA and potentially Downtown Disney/Hotels. The latter video isn’t filmed, the former is already and will be out Friday.
Ok thanks! We’re not really either coz $$$ 😂 but we have family coming to visit from Australia so it’ll be a once in a lifetime kinda trip and good timing with 100th anniversary so was just curious 😊
When I walked by on Sunday at about 7:50-7:55 AM I noticed that the big steel roll door was down in front of Candy Palace (which has store access) so I assume everything is closed until 8 AM.
@@elinorzollweg it’s a logical thought. One I had assumed as well. Which was why seeing the roll door down caught my eye. I am not the most observant about stores though. I very very rarely even consider buying anything.
I watch these videos before bed or just anytime! He is soooo nice and his subtle jokes and calming voice make me sooo happy!

Someone had requested it and I was happy to oblige. If there’s anything you want to see in the parks. I can see if I can make it into a video.
im going to disney june 5th-7th and rn im watching all your videos
Thanks for doing this! I know you’re not a merch person, so this was a fun surprise and is much appreciated! 😊
Loved this video!!
Thank you!
Great video! I love going shopping at World of Disney the night before I visit the parks. That place is like a one stop shop for anything Disney.
Absolutely! WoD is HUGE.
@@SoCalDisneyDad if only it did not empty out my wallet so much! ;)

Thank you for sharing the merchandise I really wanted to see it. Can you also show th merch at DCA?
For sure. I filmed both parks on the same day, so the other one is already done. Just needs to be put together. Should hopefully land on Friday.
Can u do a video showing the merch at world of Disney please🙏
I have thought about doing a Downtown Disney video. Which would include WoD. I’ll see if it’s something I can do in an upcoming visit.
Love the video
Are there any sale or discounted items / discounted section in the park's store?
Sometimes. But very rarely. I've seen some loungeflys that are going "out" get a discount before, but there's no official clearance section.
Do they have clearance when the holidays change ? And can items be bought online
Are you guys going to be in Disneyland next week?
We will be there this Sunday, May 14th.
How long did it take you to record all the spots? Just curious about the time/miles as we have never been and going in a few weeks.

About once a week.
@socaldisneydad Do they still have the build a droid figure at the star trader store?
The build a droid is in Galaxy’s Edge at the Droid Depot.

Are the stores and attractions (like the Cinema and Great Moments) on Main Street prior to park opening?
When I walked by on Sunday at about 7:50-7:55 AM I noticed that the big steel roll door was down in front of Candy Palace (which has store access) so I assume everything is closed until 8 AM.
Thanks for the quick reply! I know that stores stay open after park close so I thought maybe they might open before the parks opens
