Let's get a conversation going! I'd love to know: What do you think of the spiritual path? Is it worth it? Does it leave you feeling better or worse than when you weren't on it? And what alternative have you found that work for you?
I saw that you responded, but not sure where that comment is now. I agree, there's a lot of wisdom to be found in Stoicism... I actually find it to be pretty in-line with Buddhism, but my intention with this video wasn't to encourage people to stop practicing Spirituality. Quite the opposite. I think you can learn a lot from pain - even if it's just different ways to process it and/or lessen it. Though of course, you should never follow anything blindly and it's always a good idea to be open to changing or ending a practice if it no longer serves you (just as it's a good idea to remain open to picking it back up again if/when you see the value in it again).
I was introduced to Stoicism by my Latin teacher. Growing up in Eastern Europe wasn’t easy, especially in terms of perspectives on the world and mental health. Stoicism helped me understand many things about the true nature of humanity, how one should view society, and how to think and behave in relation to oneself and the world.
That's really powerful, especially at such a formative age. Would you say that this way of thinking has always just helped you decrease your suffering, then? (rather than amplifying it at times)?
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it and that it resonated! And I hear you. If there’s any part of you that’s still willing, keep going. I think spirituality is like anything else that’s worth doing: you’ll have a lot of moments of doubt and difficulty, but if you push through, you’ll be rewarded for it

This was a profoundly insightful watch. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future 🙏🏼
Thank you!
Very well explained
Thank you! Is this something you've experienced, too?

How did you get introduced to Stoicism so young? Just through your own research?

Haha nice fake out in the middle, liking the introduction of humor
Haha, thank you. Humor/my personality will be a more consistent element as I get more comfortable in front of the camera
