When I was watching the Muppet Movie, I was literally crying at the scene because it reminds me of the place I came from, Sedro-Woolley, although I was up there when I was watching it, I want to actually live there again because it's my home area (Bellingham, Skagit County Area near Canada in WA state).
It was an important track to me as a troubled teen. Still go back there myself when I hear it....my wonderful happy little5 year boy old next to me says "Why does it make you cry daddy?" "It reminds me of somewhere else my love" I say "I'm glad I'm with you now though"
Hearing this song, makes me daydream like I'm on a cliff behind a fence staring down at my heart's desire. I don't know what it is between either the Nickelodeon Family Suites at Florida or either Disneyland or Universal Studios Hollywood at California, but either way, it would be nighttime, and while I'm staring down from above the cliff, I would think this song, and I would have cartoon friends by my side.
Yeah. It's kind of cool that they tried to go back to the original Muppet Movie for inspiration. To be honest, I prefer the vagueness of this sequence in the original movie to the drawn-out explanation in "Muppets from Space." It allows you to fill in the blanks yourself.
"There's not a word yet, for old friends who just met." 😢 How powerful is that?!❤❤❤❤
*crying* -Because of just how beautifully deep that truth really is...

I guess I am in good company. I cry every time I hear. this song. I have so often felt like I do 't belong herd, and wonder which star us my true home
It sounds like Gonzo's singing about heaven, which is even more emotional when you put it in the context of Jim Henson's death. 😢
this song always makes me cry :,( i love it, though
Me, too. :)
I don't cry; I just think it's beautiful.
My two favourite things together!! You are my new hero.
always loved this
Thank you for posting this. This song made me cry as a child- still does! I have always shared this sentiment you have beautifully crafted.
All gonzo felt was alone and he found his spot where he belonged and he wanted his new friends to join him. Talk about childhood purity.

Sounds wonderful, have you considered drawing or writing a story about it?
Love that harmonica...especially at the end
I always thought this song was pretty when I was little. It wasn't until years after Muppets From Space came out that I realized it was foreshadowing.
(then in 1999, realization) Gonzo: "I KNOW WHERE I COME FROM! I'M FROM OUTER SPACE!!!"

Well done
I know Gonzo decided to stay on earth with his current family but I have a feeling someday he WILL eventually return to space.
From the original Muppet Movie!
