I'm late but damnnn this gives me memories. This game was the first demon slayer game out and was actually made by accident (it was just meant to be a test, but accidently left it open then it got players so I updated it)
btw im a tsuchinoe or something in this game in the old days and the demons are actually real players there were no npcs, everyone had to farm alts back then.
yeah i can see why higoshi decided to make dsrpg 2 instead, this game was a mess.

I'm even later than Higoshi, but man this game was funny
Game was purely unintentional, Higoshi made it on an airplane using the assets of a game we just gave up on releasing after around 1.5 years of development. There so legit 0 anti-exploit protection so data could of been modified by anyone.
Before this game, we all had toaster PCs, our stuff kept crashing and we kept losing progress. It was frustrating, but somehow this one mistake of Higoshi leaving the game open led us to more opportunities, wild

there was actually another demon slayer game that was older, it was made base on the manga. but from what i heard the creator fucked up a bunch of stuff and in the end abandon the game. the game is also called "demon slayer"
