I wouldn't say tom goes left wing really, most people would claim he goes too far right wing with stuff but I would say he goes more libertarian and anti authoritarian with his politics. They both do a really good job of pointing out how corrupt the mainstream media is, and I think the only reason they can is because they're independent. Record labels are often in bed with media so they'd never let songs like this fly.
