Thanks for this video. Nice Job. Already got a bracket and pole and just found your video. Been looking for a clamp like that, much appreciated. Thinking about adding a second bracket. Wow the fiberglass rods have gone up at Grainger, now $77. I got a similar bracket from Halk Marine $135, excellent quality and made in USA. Got a 9 ft SuperStick pole from Cabelas for $87, excellent quality and made in USA.

I just have a question do you have a link to where I can buy that 10 foot fiberglass Pole. You said something about Grainger but it looks like Grainger is a popular name. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated
Links to everything I used should be in the description. We have a grainger store in our area so I went there to save a little on shipping. Good luck! Link to pole: m.grainger.com/mobile/product/DYNAFORM-Rod-4ATL9
Front and back would be the way to go in our opinion. Your boat won’t move an inch with that setup. Tag us in a pic on social when you get yours finished.
Great idea I did the same for my pontoon boat but that bracket in the back I had made up by my own welder for only fifty bucks and I made the pole out of PVC stuffed with wooden dowels for only $13. But I do like that fiberglass Pole you're using
Awesome! The bracket is the most expensive piece so if you can weld one yourself you can really save money. The Fiberglass rod is nice because it isn’t buoyant so it sticks in the bottom easier.
Everything we used should be listed in the description. We found the locking collar on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Dernord-Stainless-Sanitary-Single-Clamps/dp/B0734L5FWS
Yeah bracket is a little much. Cheap compared to power pole. My suggestion would be to find a welder friend and have them make you a bracket. Good luck!

Glad to help! $77! Wow that is crazy. I guess everything has gone up now so I shouldn’t be that surprised
That's definitely a cheap alternative. Great idea and thanks for sharing ;)
The pole is tuff yeah!
If you drill a hole between the bracket and the pipe at different intervals you can put a metal pin in to stabilize the boat a little
That’s a good idea!

You can use 8 or 10 ft Bank poles fiberglass
$250 for that mounting plate? That is lakeside robbery. They made $230 profit. No way bro.
BadCow I know that part is crazy high priced, but can’t weld, so that was my only option.
Two of em and you bought a talon
mbb6180 where can I get a Talon for 500.00
I have an old bracket for a transom mount trolling motor that I use for that

I'm thinking one on the front and back. Or one on each side of motor

I wonder how much a local fab shop would charge to make that exact bracket? It couldn’t be $250 that’s for sure!
at least half the price, probably save a lot more.
2022 says otherwise
I did the same on my boat. Put a pink grip on your pole so you don't forget to pull it.lol

I used the adjustment lock clamp on one of my kids old bicycle seats
Thanks bud appreciate that
I’ve thought about doing something like this, I don’t fish shallow enough to justify power poles. But DAMN $250?? they sure think a lot of them lol

You can get the fiberglass rods much cheaper online. I got mine for $10.00
I wish I could remember the supplier’s name.
