@@NJDJ1986Ayumu Uehara, Ayumu's great friend, Shioriko Uehara, and another Ayumu's close friend, Setsuna Yuki all owned EA SPORTS WRC as well. They loved it. I also loving this game despite the graphics looked a little bit subpar like DiRT 3.

Every new rally game that I see makes me thing how incredible Dirty Rally 2 still is.
Comparatively. DR2 is simple, it's like driving on ice. Real rally drivers express the same sentiments. It is, however, the best of the rest. A lack of competition is why most games suck these days, all games companies trying to see who can cut the budget down the most, no aspiration to make a better game... just lower the budget.
RBR is good but I spent 6 hours trying to get that working, to no avail. No game should need that much set-up time.

12:18 FYI the Rally Pacifico is fictional but it's supposed to take place in a palm oil plantation site in the West Sumatera. This is the first time in 24 years that Indonesia is featured on any rallying game ever made, its last appearance was in the V-Rally franchise. I'm fascinated at the level of accuracy there. Not the most accurate but still feels authentic nonetheless.
It makes me very happy, as an Indonesian, to see it now making its debut on an official WRC game and we're expected to host the Rally Indonesia again for the upcoming 2025 WRC calendar, which would be the first time in 28 years in our rallying history!

What is your favourite car in EA SPORTS WRC? For me Audi S1 Quattro 1985, SEAT CORDOBA REPSOL, Impreza 1998 and 2001 (V-Rally 3) and Yaris GR WRC RALLY1. Ayumu Uehara and Shioriko Uehara's favourite cars in EA SPORTS WRC interestingly all from Rally1 and Group B cars.

For being an EA game, this honestly looks surprisingly good (I know it's Codemasters team, but EA only knows how to fuck things up usually)

The managerial aspect looks pretty sick, reminds me pleasantly of GRID, an absolutely goated game.

Framerate occasionally dropped to 59fps.
The screen tearing and stuttering is pretty shocking tbh. People crap on the KT WRC games but they didn't launch in this state. Hopefully a patch improves things as it could be a fun rally game.
Yeah, the framerate here is a massive turn off. I dunno if I can cope with this...buying at launch maybe not an option
That's a easy fix and should be done when they put out a update for wrc

After watching and playing smooth Forza Motorsport for weeks, this looks slow and ancient
For all it's faults at least FM doesn't have stuttering and screen tearing. Let's see if this gets a pass regardless.

The navigation comms are so stressfull and cool at the same time
And rarely repetitive unlike WRC 3 and 4 PS3.

the frame rate is disaster
How you feel the steering ?
I am on keyboard and you can adjust the steering sensitivity. Slow cars I fine it just right but fast cars like WRC2 and WRC is really twitchy and I have to tone down the sensitivity.

Better than previous games, but still far away from Burns.
The handling is incredible on all input devices. Better than 2.0 imo. It’s the microstutters that lessen what could be an almost flawless game.
The paint booth has a serious problem. It has no mirror to other side for decals. So if you paint one side of the car it is guessing game for your proportions for the other side of the car.

I would really like to know how the physics feel, because maybe it's just the camera but the cars seem too light, even for rally cars :/

Can you play powerful 4wd cars without them over-rotating, fully spinning you out on keyboard? Dirt 2 it was just impossible with keyboard with certain RWD or 4WD cars. Where WRC 9? and 10 worked great with keyboard.
One thing i don't understand is ever since dirt 3 the fulvia wasn't the fastest car of it's category, in dirt rally they took away the fifth gear making it a lot slower than the mini and here it has 10 hp less, i know it's basically a starter car but the power figures are wrong, in 1972 it had almost 65-70 hp more than the one in the game though I'm not sure of the year they chose to represent
In DR2.0 at least fulvia sucks ass on stock tuning. when you change gear ratios it becomes actually drivable. If Im not mistaken, it has insanely long 1 and 2 gears, so making these shorter makes carrying momentum through corners much more bearable. I think cooper is still superior, since its used much more widely, but with correct setup fulvia stops being such a slow boat.

The game pretty much started life as Dirt Rally 3.
Feels more forgiving to me until you drive something like the Stratos and then it's random oversteer time! 😢
I bet this type of simulation makes your hands and even your armpits sweat so you can concentrate and keep your eyes under EXTREME pressure XD

@@brealll9647 I'd manage 4k on the old engine they used @ medium / high settings on a pretty average build. Unreal engine is too beefy, not really suitable for fast racing games

The game is perfectly playable with keyboards, gamepad controllers or budget steering wheels. If something is difficult to do on keyboard or controller, the game has a large number of assists such as traction control to help

Downloaded trial on my series x and could not believe how bad the graphics were. Dirt Rally 2.0 looks far better which came out in 2019

Prost in time Senna was alive, won vs Senna. Prost got more wins, won more championships and had a lot more podium finishes in years they both competed against each other on track. Even when both were together in McLaren, Prost overall won more points.
@@piotrj333 He did win more points. He also lived longer than Senna. So, no one can argue that Senna wouldn't have surpassed Prost.

Edit: Further-more, who did Prost inspire in today's F1 world? There is a video on RUclips of someone asking current F1 drivers who they think the best F1 driver of all time was. They all said Senna. Even Schumacher said Senna was the GOAT.
@@SethingtonIII He earned more points, ONLY counting years they were competing. In same time frame, Prost was better. In same team Prost was better. Only 3 reasons why people are oh-ah about Senna:
- he died,
- documentaries due to his death glorify him,
- he had extremly agressive drive style that made him crash often as well forced him to retire from race.
Meanwhile Prost was more boring, calculated and explicitly said that Senna's agressive drive style was not worth it. And btw. Senna died in 1994, while Prost retired at end of 1993. Fact you aren't even aware of what happened between both of them (pretty much 2nd biggest rivarly in F1 ever, disqualifies you from having an opinion).
And again in all my claims, I am not counting all years when A was driving but B was not.

On the other hand, Prost amassed 163 (186) points, 25 podiums and set 12 fastest laps whilst Senna amassed 150 (154) points, 18 podiums and set 6 fastest laps. They each won one World Championship. After their time as teammates, Senna amassed 21 victories to Prost's 12.

What is more in McLaren, Senna got special engines from Honda that were better and faster and despite that preferential treatment, Prost still won by points.

Just play the older games. Looks far superior believe me I could not stomach the subpar graphics. The previous WRC games like wrc9, wrc10 or generations would be better if you are just getting into rally. This looks last gen and there is no excuse for the poor graphics

The UI/menus feel very cold and lifeless. Presentation during gameplay is good though.
The damage and environmental damage is faaaar too forgiving in this game it's almost arcade-like!
This really ruins the rally experience!
There's literally an option that cranks damage and part failure rates to near-realistic levels.

As a diehard fan of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, EA SPORTS WRC is overall in the end is 9.25/10. The career mode bring back Gran Turismo 4 style gameplay and even though the graphic looked subpar, overall still very impressive. Ayumu Uehara and Shioriko Uehara (Ayumu's great friend) both owned EA SPORTS WRC too.

they lost the WRC license to Codemasters in 2020 which got bought by EA in 2021

Game looks decent, but after it gets good reviews and good rep, then EA will slip in the horrible monetization scheme that we all know of by this point....
I Don´t buy EA products any longer, but i've been watching some of the latest NFS games and my only question is this: Where's this lvl of customization in their other racing games? Or let´s change it into: I want this level of customization in other racing games, maybe, just maybe i would consider buying them again.... P.s. Looked at little further in the video and the lvl of custimization dropped, got dammit EA always a disappointment with you...
Licensing. Some Companies are *hostile* to their Cars being customized in Games. Also, this is WRC, meaning the Cars have to be built to Specific FIA Regulations with no Deviation from those Regulations.

This game sucks compared to DR 2.0. I bought Dirt Rally 1 to keep me busy until they patch this game, but I have to say that KT Racing's WRC 10 is better than this.
The only thing about WRC 10 is that it crashes often on my rig. Anyone know of any fixes so I can finish the historic mode?
