the aa12 was originally made for the army but due to its cost and its lack of versatility it just became a forgotten gun nobody use beside movies and games 👍
as for both m16s there is a little confusion, the m16A1 used to be the us army service rifle during vietnam war but was replaced by the m16A2 then m16a3 to get the m16A4 because it had many issues (for exemple mags werent made to last long and the gun overheated alot). For the M16A4, you probably thought it was a M4A1 carbine wich is indeed used by police forces, the m16A4 doesnt fit that role because of its lenght and its burst fire mode that makes it unpractical in CQB

and for the ump45 its a very cheap and versatile gun so its mainly used by police forces around the world 👍
