Synopsis:
DIL TO PAGAL HAI is the story of Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), who does not believe in love. Rahul fails to understand how two people can spend their lives together.
It is the story of Pooja (Madhuri Dixit), who believes that there is someone who is made for her and she is destined to meet that person.

Dil to pagal hai was one of my favorite Bollywood classics in the early 90s… tied with koyla, duplicate, pardes etc.
Actually that was era when people had talent and quality.. in this era, our personal skills are reducing and dependency on digitals is increasing.. we can never be as good as them..

At that time actresses were so much conscious about their image that so many of them rejected karishma's role as it was a supporting role and not the main role. But most of us today remembered this movie only because of this legendary dance sequence. I'm happy karishma even after being a star kid she always persued small roles she even did small tv serials.

I guess you were too busy looking behind Madhuri's "choli ke piche" to even realise Madhuri lacks in modern dance department. IMHO only Rani Mukherji can nail both traditional and modern dance forms outstandingly. Now go cry in the corner.

Sorry but that's not true , Madhuri danced as per character , she was dancing for fun . Karishma dance was to show envy . The entire theme was like that . So it is direct competition between Madhuri and Karishma but with characters . Madhuri did a very good job as per her character.

Actually in my opinion , Bollywood have so many dancing queens who can beat Madhuri Dixit ji. Here , Karishma' s dance just overshadows Madhuri' s performance . Similarly in Devdas , Ashwariya Rai also did great job and give a challenge for Madhuri ji. Moreover , Shridevi ji, Hemamalini ji, Meenakshi Sheshadri ji and many more are amazing dancers.
When this movie released in 1997 I was in school... I loved krishmas dance in this sequence so much dat she outshined madhuri known for her dancing. I thought I was I only one who felt so. Here I read the comments I feel I was not the only one
