- Using these printables from Dots Inspiration Studio, you too can make a great way to store all those bits of ephemera in one convenient and easy location. Follow along as I create file folders that will keep everything neatly tucked in as well as the box to hold all of them.

7:46 when you’ve made your indentations, you’ll find a lot more ease if you fold in the opposite direction than how you scored them. IE, fold away from the indent. Mountains become valleys. This is because you’ve stretched the top layer of paper more with the pressing of your score tool. It folds more gracefully if you were to fold the exact opposite from your demonstration. Additionally, you won’t have to finagle and move things around to make them match better if your creasing with the tool looks accurate.

Very interesting for the little envelopes but honestly what I was most interested in was the way to make the box! I am like you, I need to be able to see it. I moved all my ephemera into little three ring binders, put them on my bookcase, and I haven't opened them once since I did that. However, the box is a great idea to sit on my table when I'm working and then move back to the bookshelf when I'm done. And you could make all kinds of boxes for different supplies. Great ideas!

Love this! Just found you on my own, so it's great that word is getting out. Like you I'm visually oriented, and have needed to get serious about organizing my ephemera. I found a great solid wood shelf unit on the curbside, and need to fit things onto fairly narrow and somewhat short shelves. Not only are your gusseted file folders great, but I can custom fit them and their storage boxes to fit my shelves. Big win for me! Big thanks to all of you guys who figure out how to make things, iron out the wrinkles, then make videos to share with the rest of us. And special thanks for clear, easy to follow instructions. I made a ton of these (without the decoration on the front). I didn’t make the accordion style gusset but cut out a 7” strip of lite wt. chipboard that is 1 3/4 wide. I scored them at 1/2” on each side On my file folder, I scored the bottom at its widest width (3/4”). Folded the chipboard on the scored lines and glued them to the inside of the edges of the file folder. They fit perfectly. If you have banker boxes, they fit just fine in those. And you are right that the prep time is extensive so it is a quite a long process. I also used art glitter glue, it grabs very quickly.
I just recently bought a Crop-A-Dile 2 and had no idea you could turn the eyelet cubes 🤯 I literally had it sitting on my desk when you started showing it… I’ll go look up that paper guide you have but shame on We R Memorykeepers for not including it seeing as how much it cost! Anyway, first time seeing one of your videos and I loved it! I’ll be back! I was NOT sent by Dawn from the Book Vandal.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😝😝 but maybe I’ll go watch her too! Lol! Blessings to all! 💜💜💜😘

When I first started video I thought you were going to make each folder a folder that opens wit pockets inside . I liked that idea. But you made folders you have to dump out to see them all. Tis is a beautiful box and folders though.
