Great tutorial! The flowers are beautiful. If you want to add more dimension you could sponge the edges of the petals with a slightly darker ink than the cardstock color.

Those roses look great and must be a great hobby to build also. I may recommend that to a cousin of mine who need a hobby to keep them busy. My hobby was commercial art before I found out about computers years ago.

#FloLum sorry I was in such a rush to get into the library this morning -- always a big rush for the one and only Sunday New York Times.. missed it anyway.. no big deal. But startling the #deerintheheadlights #Dude was so fun. I was sitting waiting strategically to get into the library, and #Dude totally caught my attention. Little bit of a profile, rather than straight on like on youtube, and no dark door behind him, lots of glass and light, no plate, etc. I couldn't figure #him out. So fun to have my mind click in. I often wondered whenever you did your Costco trips whether I'd catch sight of you guys there. Lol, never figured outside the library. Cheers till next time.

Thanks for stopping and saying hello, Barbara! We sometimes head over to the library after church on Sundays. I always wonder why everyone seems to be rushing into the library. Now I know one reason. Have a great week! 😊

I found this paper at the Japanese dollar store. They call it construction paper but it’s nicer than the construction paper I used to buy the kids when they were little. It’s thicker than regular paper but not as thick as card stock. I’m sorry I’m not much help!

Keep it all colour roses together, take pictures in different angles and make some poscards out of it. Make sure use gold or silver caligraphy on your postcards.

Flo, great job. I'm also a paper crafter and rubber stamper. Interested in what kind of paper you used. It seemed to have a lot of body. Could you use a more tissuey paper for a softer look, or would they just wilt? Please post a photo of the finished wall when you get it all assembled and post to Instagram. Mar

Very pretty. How are you planning to attach them to the wall when you decorate?

    • @FloLum

It was not easy... we stapled the large ones (measured about 15” across) to the wall and taped the medium sized ones and laid out the rest. Check out my Facebook page to see the results: m.facebook.com/flolum/

LOL! You explained it quite well... heavier than regular paper but not as heavy as cardstock. I bought it at a Japanese dollar store and they labelled it as construction paper. It’s much nicer than the construction paper I used to buy for the kids.

Yes, the more flexible paper works better when making small flowers, but the texture of the paper you used for the larger ones is so nice. :) Thanks.
