I know this is like 4 years old at this point, but don't be scared to send the tuba lower, especially in climactic parts of the song. The chorus of Salvation really could've used the depths of a tubist's range to help with it's impact. Overall a fantastic arrangement though and I would be honored to play it
those are breves or double whole notes. since the piece in in 4/2 you would need a double whole note to fill up an entire measure instead of just a whole note
Yes some missing notes BUT it is for a brass quintet only. The horn parts could use some movement. I also find it better to leave the horn with the melody at the end. Just something to think about. Interesting low brass parts. Have you thought of increasing the range to a higher register for the Forte reprise? Good luck and best wishes
Aiden Bettwieser 4/4 and slow is how the original piece is written. Maybe it was just more convenient for the arranger to use this time signature I guess. I like the arrangement
It how the original score by Tchesnokov is done, they liked 4/2 in the early 1900s I guess. I could change it but didn't really feel like it cause it'ts not that hard to read once you get used to it.
Reese Blaskowski Ahh I see. Just curious. By the way my brass group is playing your arrangement of the incredibles and it is AMAZING! Great work. Love to see new stuff you come out with too

I love this song!
Do you have one in a LOW brass?
Yes I can,my band played it at our winter concert.I'll have to ask my band director.
The band version is not the original, the choral version is the original and what I referenced for this arrangement
what do the bars around the notes at :35 mean?

Question
Why is it in 4/2? Couldn’t it be 4/4 with a slow tempo?
