I miss her show, she pulled me out of a very dark place when I couldn't get out of bed, I would get up to watch her show. She made me laugh and tap my toes and gave me hope while I was grieving. I agree with Andrea. When you have to tell people you aren’t mean you are probably mean. gender has nothing to do with this - if you treat people badly then you deserve what you get.
I disagree with Andrea’s take… I don’t believe that she was standing up saying ‘listen everybody, I’m not mean’. She was always telling everyone to be nice to one another. She wasn’t wrong. ‘This is why we can’t have nice things’, as my son would say… Because-if it’s something nice- someone out there, is always going to want to destroy it. And, I dislike a ‘pile-on’, by people with no connection to the accusations… I do understand that, when someone ‘puts themselves out there’-That is a huge risk. It sucks, & I’m sorry to see so many of the things that represent ‘happiness’ and ‘joy’ get so trampled. (also, who thinks that people, IRL, are the *same* as they are on their ‘public face’? and- is that what the people who worked for the “show“ were expecting/disgruntled by?)

Why do so many who don’t know Ellen assume she was mean? How the hell do any of you know the truth about Ellen? Social media accusations against Ellen were made without attribution and proof. Ellen’s true legacy is in every life and every heart she’s touched, and she’s changed the lives of countless people for the better!
Folks talking poorly about Ellen forget that cancel-culture doesn't serve an honest and balanced perspective. Ellen has been a strong pioneer on important topics and massively conscientious comedic talent.
That's an interesting observation about our emerging Type 1 Civilization culture, that the higher men climb the corporate ladder the more they are liked, while the higher women climb the less they are liked. I don't think I personally would like anyone anymore or less for climbing a corporate ladder but a lot of other people might feel differently - our commodified survival warps people's perception of value. In Indigenous matriarchal cultures where people worked together to ensure a basic standard of living, women, children, men, and elders, were highly valued and they all had their place...whereas in our culture, people equate value with other things like money and prestige from strangers...and unfortunately there are a lot of unhappy people as a result. Maybe we could use modern technology with an Indigenous matriarchal perspective, and ensure a basic standard of living for everyone.

I heard that she's very mean to her guess behind the scenes. Ellen DeGeneres is done. Just because she's a gay lesbian woman doesn't mean she has to abuse people. At least Wendy Williams is who she is in front of the camera, not just behind the scenes. I would take Wendy Williams over Ellen to generous any day.
