As an software engineer myself I can say, that that AI is just some marketing. The AI can plot a diagram? Wow, that could be done also 30 years before without ai. Also the recommendation for the next workout/set could be easily calculated by an algorithm. As I read the title I thought, that this will analyse your workout based on some video input of the execution of the excercise. But thats nothing an AI is useful for.
Also Google's entire Dev I/O last year was about it, but it was really just a marketing ploy as many people will say. And AI fitness apps already existed that will put together a workout based on your preferences and change it, they just aren't popular.
For tech this isn't really that advanced. When AGI is eventually released, then that will have a potential to be big for the future of many industries including health and fitness.
@@kgal1298 they use Google's Generative AI API hosted on the public cloud, so yeah, that's the *demo* of an AI personal training service. One improvement could be using the data to share dedicated exercises, but it's still a quick demo, so I don't see the issue.
I think as AR/VR progresses you won’t need a personal trainer. The signals are there and it’s evident when you see a hit workout on RUclips has 20 million views. Imagine generating a workout with AI and the visuals are generated too. All you’ll really need is your phone, wireless headphones and light weight VR headsets. Gymshark you’re going in the right direction.
It's funny because people need contact with real humans like never before and you think that AI going to replace real personal trainers who are for most people not only coaches but therapists at the same time. I think you are wrong. AI will find some niche but I don't see that it replace personal trainers at all.
The difference 7 years makes. Nervous young boy with his shirt untucked to a confident young man in a three piece suit! Get on Ben.

Exactly, just the latest buzzword after blockchain

Yeah seemed a bit half baked I understand it was just a demo but it's a bit underwhelming

But they aren't...
There have been some great ones out there for a bit, I highly recommend FitBod, though I'm sure the Gymshark one is stellar as well!

More Ai = Less Jobs.
