Good info Randy. Had the same experience in my youth and college years playing golf in school. I put too much pressure on myself during early parts of rounds and played poorly. Once i quit focusing on the end result from the start, i played much better. It took a long time to learn this lesson. In my mid-60's now and fish 1-2 times per week and i have found i learn more and enjoy the day more by trying to learn something from each cast and location rather than shooting for a goal and making impulsive decisions. In turn I catch more fish. Thanks again for the insight.
This is so relevant to me. Thank you so much Randy! Sometimes I feel like I need to hit the fish whistle just so I can get myself to slow down enough to be in tune with whats going on in the water 😂
When I started using a hand retrieve pulling the line away from the rod at a snails pace my fishing exploded. I use plastic worms and jigs most of the time. Of course the occasional swim bait or jerk bait also works. Being methodical and slowing down isn't an issue because I don't have to haul ass to a weigh in and I started out carp fishing.
I’ve always fished slow , and concentrate on angles , I laugh when I see a boat going fast even with a spinnerbait , casting from far out from the cover straight to the bank , straight to the bank from front deck with no angle and reeling right back to the boat , when I see this it cracks me up

That is why kayak fishing is much more efficient for a given body of water- as long as you pick the part of your lake you launch in wisely.
I fish in the saltwater in my kayak and it's a great way to pick an area apart
experience is the most expensive teacher
Great video! Hindsight.. the sweetspot!

Enjoy your opinions but some like KVD and Castledine never have their TM speed below 50
The tortoise always wins the race😜
my issue for sure
You left out the key, must know/learn FFS.It's a must have tool to compete on today's top tours. Fact, not opinion.
Sorry, but KVD fishes at Warp Speed. His record speaks for itself.
