I have not seen such a good driver in long time
He is good at handling
He gives way to oncoming vehicles
He allows to overtake by slowing down
He doesn’t horn unnecessary
He uses lights properly to aware oncoming traffic that he need space so wait for a while
I think he is new to Volvo so driving will be same for some extent.. Else you should not expect this qualities.

There should be a permitted size for buses on such roads. It's that simple.

This is Thamarassery ghat in kerala. I travel an average of two times in a month.
These kind of buses in this road are not a big thing. If you see the kind of trucks that passes through this Ghat, you will be amazed.
Usually scanias and Volvos can be turned easily in the first attempt itself.
I think the driver is new to this road, may be that's the reason why he struggles in every hairpin, or else he could have turned it in the first attempt it self.

I also regularly commute on this route and what's seen in this video is a common sight.
The hairpin bends where the driver had to reverse is the only way you can turn the scania or Volvo buses.
Skill levels of the driver doesn't need to be questioned and clearly there was no struggle, the driver was cool as a cucumber.
I'd say trying unnecessary stunts at the ghats would be reckless and the driver clearly is experienced enough.
Ikr? they should invest in smaller buses... Here in germany, we use city buses even for longer routes, and I can recommend buses like the Solaris Urbino 10 and Mercedes Citaro K, both 10m short buses with large engines (the Citaro K is easily as fast as most cheap eco cars, has the same amount of power as most coaches but with half the weight)
It's actually Volvo tech + skill driving that make things easy, if it was something else the bus would be parked in the gorge!
Think they need to put convex mirrors in some of those bends 🙆♀️

Actually, brother, I have never driven my car on a winding road like this. You can watch your video with curiosity. This is like a movie. I like that. Turning your vehicle on a very winding road will cause other vehicles to stop. A traffic jam is being created. It's not your fault. That is the nature of the road.

If the bus is so long that it has to keep reversing and going on the wrong side to take a turn then it should not be allowed on such roads.
My first time ghat road driving was at age 20, and very first time I made super easy than him., and I also drove at Colorado peaks pike which is 14,000 ft first time too easy same as driving in high way

Why all these videos have playback speed a little more than normal, there is no need to do this man, in normal speed also these videos are great. If you observe clearly, you can notice the increased playback speed and it takes away the interest to see the video.

Lifting the body, otherwise rearbody overhang or centre portion btw front and rear axle may hit the road especially at hairpin bends. It always happens long body like B9R,B11R
